New to the area and from Google maps this is literally the only Vietnamese restaurant near Buffalo/Montrose/Waverly/Delano. So we walk in about 8ish and the kind woman said they were closed but I told her Google said they were open and she accommodated our take out order.
I don't post five stars without really meaning it and I am a very picky eater. But this family run small mom and pop restaurant is A+ and literally competes and beats a lot of Minneapolis Vietnamese places.
We ordered the pork and shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce, cream cheese wontons, and beef lo-mein.
Spring rolls: absolutely roll to perfection and absolutely fresh. The shrimp tasted really delicious, no fish taste that you can tell if the shrimp is older. The vermicelli and vegetables in it or crunchy and very tasteful in the peanut sauce is absolutely tasty this in itself is a meal to go.
Cream cheese wontons: This family run restaurant has the father cooking, and the mother doing the front end. She graciously offered us cream cheese wontons that were absolutely fantastic. Delicious and everything you expect from a top-notch wonton. Crunchy too!
Lo-mein: The noodles were done perfectly, there was a good portion of meat inside as well very hot as far as temperature not spice level, very flavorful and delicious.
Do not sleep on this restaurant. Especially if you live in this area where there's literally no other Vietnamese restaurants we were blessed with having one of the best in the twin cities!
I will return to this restaurant...
Read moreI am absolutely obsessed with the Pork Bahn Mi at Pho Viet 45! Even though I live hours away now, any time I'm remotely close to them, I have to order at least 2-3 sandwiches—one for my immediate cravings and the rest for my next few meals! The portion size is perfect; I can usually only finish half at a time.
Let me tell you about their chili oil—it's a game-changer! It packs some serious heat, but the flavors are so incredible that I find myself dipping each bite of my sandwich into it without hesitation. What might seem like a simple sandwich is far from it—let me walk you through a magical bite: the bread is perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Your taste buds are then treated to the fresh burst of pickled carrots, cilantro, jalapeño, crunchy cucumber, savory marinated pork, and a delicious sauce that, when mixed with the chili oil, brings tears of happiness to my eyes. (no really, its kinda embarrassing lol)
I'm an incredibly picky eater, and I mean incredibly, but there isn't a single flaw in this Pork Bahn Mi. It's reasonably priced, but honestly, I would pay anything to get my hands on one of these sandwiches!
Pho Viet 45 has captured the essence of Vietnamese cuisine and turned it into something truly exceptional with their Pork Bahn Mi. If you're ever near their restaurant, do yourself a favor and indulge in this culinary masterpiece—you...
Read moreFood can be 3 stars but the dine in service is HORRIBLE. Been here 5 times and it’s always a wait to get a server, but tonight 2/12/22 we went in at 450pm with only a table of 4 in there but for some reason the host/server kept takin phone orders until I went up to the counter to finally get her to take our order at 509… we ordered 8 items, we received 4 ,, pho, egg roll an cream cheese wonton in 20minutes. We thought she forgot about or 2 bahn mi sandwich and vermicelli salad an we didn’t mind too much because we seen they were busy with to go orders an didn’t want to bother with it. As we were finishing up our pho she drops off the vermicelli salad after 50 minutes…an starts to walk away, no apology or anything so I just asked for a box and she tells me the sandwiches will be up shortly, at that point I tell her I don’t want them. Her response was “well we have been selling a lot of sandwiches so yours are next”. The older Asian lady gave us a mad glare because we didn’t want them. No apology no nothing from anyone. So if you want food from here you’re better off ordering to go...
