We came here for dinner on a week night & were pleased! It wasn’t busy at all. We sat on the patio. The food was good & we felt, fairly priced. Karyn, our server, was very attentive & sweet. The Brussel Sprouts are technically a “side”, but we had as an appetizer. Definitely not the best we’ve had at restaurants, but they were decent. Udon had a good. We would get it again. It did have a LOT of sauce on the bottom.. like half the bowl full. A good portion of food for a meal though & great flavor, it is quite sweet. Which we liked, but if you’re looking for something for savory, I’d look at other options! The Carsié burger was on their “dinner special” menu. It was good! Quite a thick patty, so much you could hardly get your mouth around it. But the bun, frizzy onions, & bacon Mayo were delicious! They also did a good job cooking the beef to what we ordered. Their fries + ranch were also good, above average I’d say! They had sea salt on them which was delightful.

We appreciate that their to-go containers & bags are paper (vs plastic or styrofoam), their napkins are cloth/washable/reusable, and condiment cups are metal/washable/reusable. We would love to see their straws switched to a more eco-friendly alternative in the future, but are so happy to see they have more earth-friendly...

Opening night and they nailed it. The King House delivered on food, ambiance, and service. We ordered three apps and two desserts. Miso Glazed Ribs, Calamari, and Jumbo Shrimp cocktail served as our meal. The calamari was done just right: light and crispy exterior with a crunch, and a nice meat inside. Three dipping sauces accompanied the calamari - all were great, but the citrus was the best of the three. Jumbo shrimp cocktail were five large gulf shrimp, nicely prepped (could've used a bit better presentation), served with a side of cocktail sauce with just the right zip. The ribs. Nailed. It. My 11yo framed it perfectly: LEGENDARY. Fall off the bone, succulent, and delicious. 11/10 on the ribs.

Dessert time! Apple Crostada was topped with a vanilla bean local ice cream. Perfect companion to a great night. The brown sugar crusted custard was great in flavor, but needed better presentation. I expected a toasted crust on top, but got regular brown sugar, and the custard, while delicious, hadn't setup fully. Presentation aside, delicious.

Chef King has been a staple for us for years, we've followed his career across the Twin Cities, anxiously awaiting his take on his own restaurant. It's fantastic, and I feel like he's just getting warmed up. Can't...

Went again last night. Ribeye sauce was cold which made the potatoes cold there was so much fat and and gristle on the steak. Amish Chicken was good. The sauce with that was barely warm. French Onion soup was so hot burned your mouth. Seafood Pasta flat. Think it's time to give up on this place. 100 plus dollars for 3 meals that were barely ok/edible. Place use to be great. Evidently quality and consistency have gone down hill. Restaurants want to charge more yet the quality has gone down. That's poor business. Sorry

Ordered take out last night. Ordered 2 ribeye dinners and chicken taco salad. Chicken taco salad was good. As for the ribeye steaks were horrible so much gristle it was like I was eating gum. The worst ribeye I have ever had. For what they charge would be nice to be able to eat half of it. My dog enjoyed it. Then they got rid of fried shrimp appetizer. Have had the newest shrimp appetizer. Not impressed. To each their own.

Inconsistent:

Great service. The bartender that was waiting tables today on father's day. Best service have ever had at Kings House. She was so polite...
