My family and I (party of 8) were there for 2 hours, today, Wednesday, 4/11/22, from 6:30-8:30pm. The waitress was polite, but she must have been new, at least I hope. The place was not busy or packed, and I called ahead just to let them know a larger party was coming. However, the waitress forgot to put in our 3 appetizers, so we did not get any appetizers until we had asked her about where they were 30 minutes after we ordered them when she finally came back to take our entree orders. She said “you guys ordered appetizers????”. Appetizers were out shortly after that. Our entrees took over 40 minutes. There were a couple salads, a couple burgers, some salmon, and one steak…. So nothing crazy. At one point she had to come back and ask about one of the orders because they must not have put it in. When the meals came out, they did not bring out the meals for the two small children in our party. When we asked, they said they were working on it. A couple minutes later the chicken fingers came out, very very hot. So they must’ve forgotten and just nuked them that minute. My toddlers kids burger took another ten minutes. So she’s just sitting around wondering why she’s the only one without food. During the whole time we were there the place was never busy and plenty of other groups came and went and got their meals in a timely manner, even groups that had the same waitress as we had. Our waitress was impossible to ever find, did not check in with us ever, and never apologized for the horrible service. Our entire group is still wildly confused at how we received such terrible service and no one at the restaurant ever said anything about it. With the way things are in the world right now it’s not unusual to have longer wait times due to short staffing, and we tried to reason that maybe that’s what had happened in the beginning of our visit, but there weren’t many people in the restaurant, and it doesn’t justify her forgetting to put in so many orders and never apologizing or explaining or anything. No one did. We are all just floored. The experience was so incredibly terrible that everyone working there should’ve caught on and someone should’ve said something… there was a man working the bar, and two other ladies waitressing in addition to ours. There was at least two men in the kitchen because I could see them from where we were seated and one of them kept licking his fingers in between touching food items. The entire two hours will forever be engrained in all of our memories as the worst restaurant experience we’ve ever had. I think what really puts this in the top spot for worst restaurant ever is the fact that no one ever said anything or apologized and everyone just carried on like the experience we were having was normal and like they weren’t doing anything wrong. The waitresses manager for the night should’ve stepped in the minute she realized we ordered appetizers 30 minutes prior. The quality of the food itself was mediocre, which is what I would expect for any bar/grill combo. I will say the chocolate cake was great. So really it’s the service alone that has now made “ol wisco” a household term that our family will use to refer to any really bad dining experiences that we have. I hope someone looks into this, as the entire experience was really...
Read moreAbout a month and a half ago, my wife and I were downtown on vacation for our wedding anniversary at one of our favorite places to eat and drink. Ol Wisco Bar and Grill!
The food, the service, and the atmosphere are always five stars and spot on!
We would like to thank Brandon, the manager once again for taking such good care of us as he has in the past.
We started off our night with some cold beers, and Pinot grigio wine, and some wonderful whiskey sours! Very tasty!!!
Next, we ordered our appetizer. Very yummy tasting potato skins cooked perfectly. We highly recommend them!
I ordered the Ol Wisco burger with sweet potato fries on the side. Let me tell you their burgers are so phenomenal. Always cooked to perfection each and every one of them!!
We will be heading back out to our favorite place in late October for my birthday. Looking forward to hitting this finest establishment again. See you soon and if you haven't been there yet, get out there. Have some cold drinks. some awesome burgers and really a good...
Read moreOMG awful! 2 out of 4 of our meals were not even what we ordered. My brother in law ordered a burger with Swiss instead of gorgonzola...nope, gorgonzola it was. My son ordered 6 chicken tacos...he was served 6 chicken tenders...then, when they brought out his six chicken tacos, it was unseasoned grilled chicken breast in a soft shell with raw onions and unminced cilantro.... She asked him American tacos or Mexican tacos, and we weren't really sure what she meant since there were not two kinds of tacos on the menu. But we indicated Mexican. I wonder what they would have been if they were American? Nothing remotely resembling a taco here folks. When we mentioned to the waitress that they weren't tacos, that they were unseasoned chicken breasts in a cold shell, she just shrugged and walked away to get our bill. We moved to Delavan four years ago, and through many name changes this has been our go to place when we want to go somewhere casual with friends. Not anymore however. Extremely...
