Probably the worst dining experience ever... Having driven by this restaurant many times, my wife and I decided to stop one Saturday evening. The fact that there were only two other cars in the parking lot should have been a sign of what was to come. Upon entering, the odd smell of mildew was present (like an unclean nursing home). Second thing that was obvious within 5 minutes of being there was how COLD it was. It was about 30 degrees outside that night (so it was cold), but upon checking my hiking watches thermometer reading, it was only 62 in the restaurant...too cold for most folks. Next up was ordering: my wife and I both got the special burger recommended as a favorite on the menu. I also got a side salad and mashed potatoes. When the "side salad" arrived, it was a tiny bowl (like you'd serve apple sauce in) with nothing more than lettuce, cabbage, and carrots...the same thing that's a grocery store lettuce mix. I put some dressing on this "salad" and had it finished in 3 bites. Moving on to the main course, the burgers came out. Right away it was obvious that these are pre-formed, frozen patties...not fresh made, high quality beef that you'd expect in a diner setting. The buns were the wimpy grocery store buns that just soak up the grease and become instantly soggy. Although the vegetable toppings were ok, this burger was no better than a trash-McDonald's burger...and probably worse just because of the expectation that you'd have. And then there were the mashed potatoes that came out with NOTHING on them. No butter, no gravy...nothing. And because of the temperature in the place, by the time I got to them, they were cold as can be. Imagine a bowl of cold, instant mashed potatoes. I didn't eat even half (which was another small serving anyhow). My wife had opted for the included chips with her burger. Those were just store bought chips that I could have eaten at home...nothing special or homemade here either. Anyhow, we eat at many, many different places (always open to try something new)...and this place is one of the rare places we actually left with NOTHING positive to says about the experience. When presented with the check, the waitress didn't even say thank you or wish us a good evening...again, just nothing positive at all to say about the place. Should have looked at other reviews before stopping, as all the negative reviews are actually valid...
Read moreAwful experience, I have been here 2 times and will never be returning. We had ordered our two children a hotdog and hamburger, and we had ordered a Chicken Gyro and a Pulled Pork Sandwich meals. After a half hour after placing the order for the food, they brought our childrens Hamburger and Hotdog meals. The fries were cold and hard, the buns were clearly aged and hard. Dissapointed to say the least as what's easier to make than a hamburger, hotdog and french fries meal. Another 15 minutes has went by at this point they bring out my "Slow cooked" BBQ pulled pork sandwich which was dry, burnt and clearly not slow cooked as the menu promised. The bun was crunchy, old and the bbq sauce was on the side. Having cooked slow cooked bbq pulled pork myself in the past I knew immediately it was literally just thrown together, a complete dissapoint. I would have rather purchased the microwavable kind from the grocery store. Then the topping on the cake, the chicken gyro was brought out. It was ordered without tomato's it had tomato's through out it, we politely informed our waitress of this and she pointed out nicely that the order was placed correctly. The waitress who was very nice to us took it back to the kitchen staffing, 4 minutes later she's bringing it back out to our table. And I kid you not the to go box they put it in as we wanted to leave at this point had a giant bubble where it had been microwaved.... I'm absolutely mind blown at this point, but wait it gets better. We open the Chicken Gyro up and there's still tomato in it not on top of it, they had literally took it back to the kitchen where they were instructed by someone incharge to not remake our Gyro but to pick the tomato's out of it and reheat it in a MICROWAVE! I decided not to say anything to anyone there and right this post in hopes someone will read it and avoid having a horrible experience and possibly food born illnesses. Nothing was removed from out $38 and some odd change check, I tipped the waitress because she was nice and Im not sure if she was a part of this. Highly recommend not to go...

Myself, my spouse and the couple we were with wanted to try a new breakfast place in the area we were in. We ended up choosing the Corner Cafe. If I could give this establishment zero stars, I would have. We placed our order and did not receive our food until 30-40 minutes later. During that time, the owner came to our table to confirm our order. We continued waiting and saw the owner eating her lunch at the bar. Our server came over and said our food would be coming soon. I said we had been waiting for 30 minutes and she proceeded to roll her eyes and walk away. After it was all said and done, we received our bill. My bill reflected a poorly itemized way of showing a biscuit with gravy on the side and cost $6 and the biscuit was burnt. I asked the server about my bill and she went to the computer to review, came back and said that is just how they do it there and that it doesn't make sense. I ended up paying the bill through contactless pay and only for the bill amount and no more. Two days later, I noticed an extra $6 dollars was charged to my card without authorization. Please check your account if you ever eat at this restaurant and pay through contactless payment, which I do not recommend doing. The extra charge also happened to the couple...
