Tian Fu Buffet — Restaurant in Delaware

After I ate here, I read the reviews and have to say I agree with a lot of them. First off: you have no idea what the buffet cost. I could not find a sign on the door, inside the building, on the tables, or anywhere stating what the cost of the buffet is. It was $14.42 for a weekday lunch with a pop. Being that it's an all you can eat buffet, that doesn't seem unreasonable. Although I only get one midsize plate..

Some of the food was okay and some was terrible. The rice, egg rolls, spring rolls were okay to me. The teriyaki chicken was so salty you couldn't eat it (and I love salty food). I was happy to see they had bourbon chicken as it is a favorite of mine, but theirs was absolutely terrible. The general tso's chicken had zero spice. It was actually sweet and tasted more like honey chicken. The Chicken sticks were pretty good.

The restaurant was clean. All the food bins were full and there was a good size selection. When a worker brought me the check she stood there waiting on me to pay. But instead of leaving the receipt and walking away for it to be signed, she stood there and waited on me to sign it and fill out a tip. I typically would not have tipped as I received no service. It's a self service buffet. But I felt obligated too as she was standing there wanting me to fill it out. So I gave her a dollar and went on about my business.

Due to the unprofessional and awkward checkout situation and the taste of most of the food that I tried, I don't plan to eat here again. I will add that when I was leaving a gentleman that works there did thank...

I’ve gone there with my fiancé at least once a weak and I always leave a tip but I was low on money and couldn’t leave a tip this one time and the waitress was hovering over me till I paid and then gave me a dirty look came back put the bill holder back down and said you leave cash tip on here. I told her I didn’t have the money to tip this week and she said no you tip now. And stood there my fiancé and I stood up and said we don’t owe you a tip a tip is a sign of appreciation and we always tip but you have lost our business for demanding a tip and hovering over us when you brought the bill. There food is a hit or miss sometimes it’s fresh sometimes it’s not. They aren’t always attentive to the tables and sometimes you have to find them to ask for a refill or to clear your table. It’s honestly very disappointing to be treated that way but we went anyways because we couldn’t find a better buffet out here. It’s too bad really. They could get more business if they didn’t sit on there phones and act so disrespectful to others Or give snarky looks…they also will stare at you if you are on the bigger side. I came to this place when they started out and it was good, the food was hot and the grill was awesome, fast forward not even a year the staff is extremely lazy and will likly only visit your table twice, when you first sit down and when they want to to leave (meaning half way through your meal) the food will make you very sick, I used to live close by and I couldn't even make it home before I was ready to lung for the bathroom, not all the staff can even be bothered to wear the unifom much less keep their feet of the counter not to mention they can't even keep the food warm much less even stocked in fact the warmest thing there that didn't come straight off the grill was their ice cream! Trust me this is a restaurant I'm amazed hasn't been shut down yet much less stays in business with what they do there

3 years later I can still say the food is gross and should only be eaten if you want a nasty case of food poisoning. I try to warn people away from that place and when I see them next they tell me how sick they got and how they should have listened to me.
