Parking was easy for us, but it may be at a premium if it was any busier. Looks like they have some street parking beside the place in the neighborhood.
This is a small place located in a mini strip mall, right off the highway. They had about 10 tables or so, and a small bar with stools. The bar had a small tequila selection along with some of the usual suspects liquor wise. The service here was truly outstanding. We had chips on the table almost before we sat down! Everything we needed, we got faster than most.
We sat a table and ordered a Modelo bottle. It was cold and refreshing. I saw Corralejo, so we got shots, full pour, beautiful.
Chips and Salsa!!!!!! Chips....homemade, hard, crispy, tasted good, and weren't greasy. Salsa red...was drowned out in onion with a chunky texture. Salsa green...was weird to me, tasted like a jalapeno popper.
I ordered the grilled chicken torta with mayo, queso fresco, avocado, pickled jalapenos, ham, lettuce, and tomato. The bread was fresh, soft, and delicious. The chicken was hammered very thin and in one piece, not chopped up. I absolutely love when it's whole! Everything meshed together perfectly. This wasn't my favorite, but definitely in the top third of what I've had.
I ordered tacos choosing canitas, chorizo, carne asada, and pastor. Carnitas...solid, good flavor, not dry, but the double tortillas feel like they are trying to dry out the tacos. The corn tortillas are middle of the road. Much better when I dropped one. Chorizo...Home run!!! Really good seasoning in there, one of the favorites on my journey. Carne Asada...marinated to perfection! Really good flavor throughout this one. Even better when you tossed a lil salsa up in there. Pastor...decent, could have used some grilled onion or pineapple in there...but i wouldn't...
Read moreAtmosphere, food, music, even the Coca-cola is authentic at La Poblanita. It is a hidden treasure that has been here for decades & I hope, for years to come. Speaking of Authentic, it's not just the Coca-cola that is 'hecho in Mexico'. There's wonderful art and artifacts decorating the walls & and bar, including a couple of 'maquahuitl': a wooden club with several embedded obsidian blades. The name is derived from the Nahuatl language and means "hand-wood" used by Aztec/Mayan warriors for hunting & and self-defense. La Poblanita has an excellent menu, but I had a craving for tacos: Carne asada & el pastor both were Fuego, I'll be back tambien. La poblanita Es el verdad! -back again this time I'm getting extra tacos 2 carne asada 2 el pastor, they're so excellent, next time we'll get something different than tacos but I've been thinking of em since my last visit. There's just no fighting...

This is basically the same review I wrote for Yelp. I notice some anonymous coward rated this one star on google, everyone else gives it five. Decide for yourself.
Running a small restaurant is tough, so we have to keep the best ones in business. They have everything you want on the menu, at good to very good prices, though tamales, menudo, and a fantastic posole (shredded pork soup that you may find hard to finish there is so much), are limited to weekends- they do run out.
I highly recommend the torta (sandwich), it is out of this world. I usually take half home. My mouth is watering just thinking of it.
They provide red salsa and a guacamole salsa for your chips. I recommend you also ask for the...
