Subway — Restaurant in Delaware

I stopped by this Subway yesterday on my way home from a long trip and was tired and hungry.

The woman behind the counter immediately seemed put out that I had walked in and her tone was clipped and rude throughout the ordering process even though I only ordered one 6 inch sandwich which should have been easy. No other customers were there at the time.

Then as she wrapped my sandwich she told me I could get my own receipt which required me to reach under the dirty plexiglass shield and across the counter to retrieve because she didn't want to. At least the sub was good that day.

Then today since I had no food in the fridge after being gone so long I decided to order a sandwich again because last night's sandwich was pretty good. I used door dash so this way I wouldn't have to deal with the abysmal customer service. I paid 9 dollars for a footlong cold cut combo. I changed nothing, only picked a sauce.

What I received was not even edible. There was no ham, no salami, no lettuce and no veggies. It was literally just bread, a WAD of bologna and a glob of sauce. I had to throw it away. Absolutely disgusting. I cannot bring myself to believe anyone working there really thought that was correct. They don't even sell a sandwich like that. No one would eat it.

Won't be returning here after this. I wasted nearly ten dollars on food I didn't receive, customer service is awful and the place was...

Staff was considerate and conscientious. On more than one visit they took considerable care to see to it that my sandwich was attractively arranged. Take note! - A well plated fast food sandwich that resembled the picture! I've never even seen that before at a Subway. I go about once a week now and the atmosphere is consistently friendly, courteous, and professional.

The ownership/employees are almost certainly not all native speakers of American English, but please try not to let any of these reviews which are hateful, racist, ignorant and malicious, cloud your judgement about this sandwich shop. It is fine.

Perhaps it is because I am polite, that the staff and management are particularly courteous with me. Maybe therein lay a lesson. Be nice to the people who handle your food, for goodness sake!...

Worst Subway anywhere. I love Subway and our family eats at one at least a few times per month. But we will not eat at this one any longer, even though it's closest to home. It appears to be family operated, none of whom speak English very well. Ordering is always a challenge. They are VERY stingy with toppings. They put far less on a sub than any other one that I go to. The other night they laughed at my son when he ordered. They didn't explain anything, the old guy just pointed at him and laughed. They complain about cashing in Subway points, but are the first to charge for any extras. I realize this is a franchise issue and I will continue to eat at other Subways, but...
