Penn Lanes — Local services in Delaware

We recently started going to Penn Lanes when after the whole pandemic changed our old bowling spot. We came in and INSTANTLY felt so welcomed by all the staff! My husband & I meet another couple usually every Friday night to have some fun! I love the deal they have for each couple we pay like $20 for 2 people to bowl with shoes and a pizza and a pitcher of drink of choice. I mean, cant get much cheaper for a fun night out these days! Its close by, its been kept clean during all this,and the staff goes ABOVE & BEYOND! They play good music the whole time we are there. I constantly hear such nice things from the people who work there. We seen the guy who runs it working on making improvements on it the last few times there & you can really tell they take pride in the place. Its such a nice feeling with everything going on today to have that homey feel when you go out to places like this. My friend that bowls with us is in love with the pizza there! She really doesn't care for pizza places & either do I but this simple pizza from a bowling place is SO GOOD! its only like $12.50 but comes with the 2 hr bowling package. They also have other snacks & food that is so dang good!!! I took my kids here for their first time bowling, and we weren't impressed. The staff was rude (except for the lovely girl at the bar). The ball got stuck, and it took 10 minutes to fix, which is fine, but we were on a timer. The guy also seemed to have an attitude about everything, even when I had to exchange the shoe sizes. We still had almost 20 minutes left and were basically told to leave. We caused no issues, stayed in our lane, and followed the simple rules. I won't be back.
