I HAD TO CALL THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT

I’ve lived near this restaurant for a couple years. They’ve never been impressive with long wait times and incorrect orders with cold food. The last time I was there, it was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had. To start, no one was at the counter to take the order for about 15 minutes and all 3 of the kiosks were labeled as out of order. I finally placed my order and asked for my drink cups. I was told they would bring everything to me as table service. 30 minutes later, as my kids were thirsty from playing in the filthy play area, I went to the counter. I had to wait another 10 minutes to get the attention of an employee who told me to wait. Long story short, a 45 minutes wait for cold food, no toys in Happy Meals and no “table service”. The worst part was the condition of the restaurant. The drink station had no cup lids, no straws, no napkins, no ketchup, no ketchup cups. Half the pops ran clear with only soda water because nobody changed the syrup. The entire area was sticky and needed a good cleaning. I was in the play area for almost 2 hours due to employee incompetence. During that time, not one employee came out to check on lobby conditions. The trash was overflowing onto the floor. Every single table had trash on it, the floor had multiple beverages spilled and puddled, and there was quite a bit of ketchup on the floor, too. I was there for a meeting (the whole reason I didn’t leave) and wanted the kids to be distracted. The other person went into the playroom bathroom and immediately walked out to go to the bathroom off the main lobby. She told me that they were as disgusting as anything else we could see. Upon conclusion of the meeting, I went home and filed a complaint with corporate. Corporate replied that it’s a franchise store. So, the next morning, I called Ingham County Health Department. This is without exaggeration the filthiest and most disgusting McDonald’s I’ve ever seen. And the bar is already pretty low.

The moment you walk in—which you can barely do because an employee’s bicycle, shoes, and other belongings fill the entryway—your shoes stick to the gross, uncleared floor.

The trash bins overflow with a mountain of unemptied garbage and trays. Tables are covered in debris from an unknown number of previous meals, and every corner has piles of straw wrappers, random fries, and dirt going ignored.

We ordered from the kiosk, which appears to be the only thing doing any work here. But after receiving our order, several items were missing, other items were randomly made with modifications that were not requested, and anything that was supposed to have ketchup on it had so little it could barely be seen. When we brought this up, they remade the items and…just did the same thing all over again. Literally a rice-sized amount of ketchup on a burger.

This place should not be operational, and it almost feels like management and staff are deliberately begging for it to be shut down. The lack of effort isn’t just striking, it’s repeated and on purpose.

This could be a great location—it’s one of the few left that still have a play place.

Morning crew is great here. This is my nearest McDonald's and I do a lot of mobile orders. Night crew is atrocious. I was the only person in line at one point and they told me they would be right with me. I had a mobile order that I ordered about 5 minutes before I got there, so it was already done and paid for, so I just waited for several minutes. Finally they ask for my order, I give them my code, I get up to the second window and I get asked to park in spot 1. Okay, fine, taking longer than I like, but there was someone else also waiting for their food. Eventually a guy walks out with a couple of orders and comes to my window, asks if I had the double quarter, I paused for a second and then confirmed, he handed me the order. I got home before I realized it wasn't a double quarter in the bag it was a McChicken. I was already home so I wasn't going back, but this is absurd. This is only the 2nd time I've been to this location after dark and both times I've had similar experiences. Last time it was just the wrong size fry, which is whatever. Basically, don't go here when it's the night crew. I'm pretty sure they batch orders or something because both times they will have 3 or 4 people waiting for their food before they come out and...
