Mi Rancherito Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Delta

This place holds a lot of nostalgia for me, though after revisiting I have to say I can chalk up a lot of what I like about this place to that nostalgia. The Horchata is still the best I've ever had, very foamy and served with a small sprinkling of cinnamon on top. The food, I got a tamale and taco, however seemed to not have a form of it's own. The taco was easy to find, but where the beans and rice ended and the tamale started was a a hard line to find. It was only after taking a bit that I found that yes, there was a tamale under a mound of beans and cheese. While it tasted fine, there was a layer of cheese on top that seems to be flatting...

I am a regular customer and have been for YEARS. Mostly I order one of two dinners…..today the waitress apparently MISHEARD my request and when I explained that it was not what I ordered, she rudely argued with me, then took the plate and brought me the correct order and slammed it on the table and proceeded to walk away. I understand everyone has bad days, but I did nothing to deserve her temper. The thing is, I was here to celebrate and ‘this happened’… I think they may have lost a regular, great tipping...

I ordered takeout and was super excited to come home and eat my dinner. When I opened my carton with what I thought was a beef enchilada with beans and rice I was very disappointed. It just looked like slop! I thought maybe it tastes better than it looks so I to a bite and hoped for the best...wrong again! The sauce had no flavor and the cheese was so thick and chewy I couldn't eat it...very disappointed and I will most likely not go...
