My daughter and I came to give the C's waffles in deltona a try since we have had a great experience with the Deland location. The hostess informed us that it would between 6 and 10 min wait time. That is perfectly acceptable time since the location is small and all of the tables were full. I proceed to watch 5 tables leave including all of the outside tables. We were expecting to be called soon. Instead we waited for close 25 mins to have a server come out and tell us there was a problem with a table and we would be waiting longer. I informed that server to take us off the list since they proceed to skip my group and another group to sit to ladies. These ladies had even order their food before the server told me that we would have to wait. I inquired to the reason that we got skipped and I was informed that they would rather help "to go" orders instead of people that wanted to sit down in eat. Needless to say the server didn't seem to care or want to fix the issue even though there we 2 tables open outside that we weren't even offered to sit there. This was my first impression of the Deltona location and clearly will it wasn't a good one. It's pretty said that a local mom and pop place would treat people of their community like this but apparently they don't care. When dealing with the public losing 1 customer may not seem to matter but in the retail world losing 1 customer turns into losing 10 because the power of the word of mouth is powerful. With this poor first impression I don't think we will ever try this location again. They clearly didn't want my money which is ok because there are plenty of other breakfast...
Read moreToday was my second time dining in the Deltona C’s Waffles, and it will be my last. The first time was a couple of weeks ago where I had a server named Miranda. She was not a good server and was annoying for lack of better term. She talked in a high pitch childish tone of voice and sang as she spoke saying things like “I’m baaaaackkkk” when she came back to the table or “howwwwww is everrrrrythingggg” when checking on us. No need to sing to me when asking questions. I did come back to try again today because I enjoyed my meal when I was here a couple of weeks ago.
Today I had a young lady named Asia as my server and she was fantastic. Very attentive and very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I brought my parents with me today. After Asia took our order, I overheard another server, who was a young lady, talking to another employee (a gentleman) about Asia. I started paying attention to the conversations at this point. This young lady talked for several minutes about Asia and how she didn’t like her. Then that young lady said something to Asia about another table. She as very nasty to Asia.
I will not dine here anymore because of how the management team allows other their employees to treat each other, especially in front of customers.
The food was good both times but, unfortunately treating people poorly is unacceptable. I will be posting on all of my social accounts to stay away from this place. Maybe because it’s family owned they allow this, but is pretty unprofessional and uncomfortable to have witnessed this in such a...
Read moreC's Waffles - Great Service, but the plain Waffle Didn't Impress.
I recently visited C's Waffles in Deltona with a friend, and while the experience had its highlights, the waffle itself left something to be desired. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted warmly by both the cook and the server, who were extremely nice and provided excellent service throughout our visit. Our server was attentive, ensuring our coffee cups were always full, which was a lovely touch.
We both decided to order waffles, with my friend opting for chocolate chips and whipped cream, while I went for a plain waffle to really get a sense of the base flavor. When I took my first bite, I noticed the waffle was crisp and fluffy, but unfortunately, the taste was a bit disappointing. It felt like the batter had been sitting out for a while, and the flavor was rather basic—nothing special. In my opinion, the waffles at C's are a bit overhyped.
However, the cook, who I believe may be the owner, was incredibly accommodating and offered to customize our orders any way we liked. It was clear that he takes pride in making sure customers are happy, which was a nice experience. My friend, on the other hand, absolutely loved her waffle with the added toppings.
Overall, while the service was top-notch and the atmosphere welcoming, I'd recommend adding some toppings if you order a waffle here to make it more enjoyable. The plain waffle alone didn't live up to the hype, but the customization options might make your visit more fun...
