Got in at 11:12 waited for someone to come serve me or take my order for drinks. Noone assisted me until 11:17 and one lady finally caught i was looking for someone, and she was in training. Very nice young lady. More into my dining i realized it was maybe two, three at the most being trained. Some had smiling faces, others not so much they greeted everyone with a smile. One lady name Charlotte that was in training noticed customers coming in and reacted quickly with a smiling face and served the customers drinks within 2 minutes . Pretty awesome for her to be in training. Heather was my server very nice very concerned with if i was ok with my food. Although my sandwich, which was a cheesesteak melt with no bacon was delightful on the outside on the inside i had a large proportion of meat on one side and skimpy on the other. Crystal, who is also in training was very helpful and friendly as well. it was noisy but that’s what i expect in waffle house. my silverware looked dirty and i got a glass of hot water to sterilize it for the time being, not a big deal. I gave Ms. Heather a hard time to see if she would crack under pressure and she was more than Cutomer Service she was professional . I loved her and my tip showed it. I let my eggs get cold and instead of making me pay for another serving she warmed them up for me. she did what it took to keep me happy. i really enjoyed the smiling face in this waffle house and nothing but good reviews even though it started off rocky . food was delicious .That’s why i would lf pick Waffle house over...
Read moreI called over to this location to order breakfast to-go and I should have taken that experience as a warning. I called multiple times over the course of about 25 minutes and nobody answered, ever. I finally said screw it and drove over there with my kids. I called 4 more times from the parking lot and again, no one answered. I went inside to order and told the waitress I wanted 2 chocolate chip waffles, 1 order of of regular (scattered) hashbrowns, and a full order of biscuits and gravy. I wasn't asked what a full order of biscuits and gravy means so I assumed that she knew what that means. Especially considering that's what it's called on their menu. I didn't wait long for the food so that was a plus. I go up to the counter and get my food, which is in a bag and tied at the top, pay for my food and head on home. Once I got home and started unpacking the bag, I get to the second to go box and see that there isn't a full order of biscuits and gravy like I ordered. The put the half order in a to go box so big that it is almost comical to look at. I'm not sure if they just forgot half of my order or what. It's about 15 miles round trip to go back just to pick up a biscuit and gravy so I'm not going to call in about this. Also, I used to cook at a restaurant and I know what people do to customer's food when they complain (No, I never did any of that but co workers did). I guess I will just go to McDonalds next door from now on. The food that was right want anything to write home about either and I normally love...
Read more06/08/2022 My wife wanted to stop for lunch while we were on Deltona Blvd. I told her the places that were close, and she said there is no Waffle House. I told her it was behind McDonalds, and she did not believe me until we pulled in. The front of the building, soffits, and the windows were covered in spiderwebs and full of termites. As you entered the foyer, it smelled of dirty mop water. My wife said let’s give it a try. She ordered the sirloin steak, eggs and hash browns. The steak was not on the menu, but she asked the server. The sirloin steak was thin, and she said it was over seasoned. The inside of the restaurant had dirty wall and floor tiles. The ceiling and covered with dust and the light lens were full of dead insects. I used the restroom, and it had flies all over the walls and ceiling. I was very disappointed with the visit and my wife said, I didn’t know the Waffle House was here for twenty years and I will not miss it for the next twenty.
02/16/2020 This was my first visit to the Deltona Waffle House, but I have driven past it for 30 years. I am not new to Waffle House; I have dined at the Sanford and Ocala locations since the 80s. I was not impressed by the location or the food at this location. I ordered Sunny side up eggs, and they came over easy. Cleanliness of the restaurant was also an issue at this location. The restaurant is located on Debary Ave, but you have to enter from Deltona Blvd. Overall,...
