Taqueria Los 3 Molcajetes — Restaurant in Dement Township

A little pricey and the food seasoning is not my preference.

The taco meat tastes a little bland, and the service takes forever. I walked in for a pick-up order about 15 minutes after I had place my order (4 al pastor tacos), and the 1 guy behind the counter came out and started sweeping the floor and flipping chairs instead. I was the only customer in there at the time, so he could've just quickly handed me my tacos and completed the transaction, but I guess in that very precise moment, cleaning was more important. Had to wait for him to finish and then receive my order.

On a separate occasion (a Saturday evening), I went in and placed my to-go order in person, (4 tacos al pastor with a drink), and with about 3 other people ahead of me it took them about 45 minutes to complete my order. (Only one guy on the grill).

Yeah, that hurt. But in a good way! My wife and I wanted to try the 3 Molcajetes food truck but just haven't gotten around to it. Tonight (5/1/24) we decided to hit their store at the Petro truck stop. My wife had the quesabirrias chicas and I had a chorizo burrito. We were both at full capacity after finishing our meals. The burrito was humongous, and while I did cut it in half, a smarter version of me would have only eaten half. Unfortunately, the smarter version of myself loses out to the "this tastes too good to only eat half of" version of myself. I read another review that complained about the price. The prices are far from unreasonable considering the portion size. Both meals came to $31 and change. I've spent more than that on just a meal for myself with a smaller portion size. 10/10 we'd...

This is a new location in addition to the food truck, which will continue to be open on weekends, as I understand it. It's just a counter-serve setup. There are 4-5 little tables with chairs, but no table service.

I stopped in minutes after the official opening and had a great experience. The food is excellent, and it came out pretty fast. Everybody was working hard and very friendly.

I wish it were a bit cheaper, but that's really my only complaint.

Also, sadly they don't have fountain drinks, but they do have homemade agua fresca in multiple flavors. They also have various cans and bottles of soft drinks and water.
