I come here quite often for takeout orders and I spend a good bit of money each time. I haven’t complained about this specific subject because EVERYONE is allowed to have a bad day. But today was my final straw. Firstly i had to call the store a total of 7 times before i got an answer when my call was answered “Shelley T.” had the NASTIEST attitude while taking my order my order was semi larger today and my total ended up being $106.87 while taking my order she kept asking “is that it!?” instead of “can i get you anything else?” and certain things i ordered i didn’t realize came with two sides instead of one when i asked she sighed extremely loud and said “yes…” with attitude . I then came into the store to pick up my order and she NEVER greeted me or even made eye contact to let me know that she sees me. I also noticed she was ignoring the phone ringing which is probably why i had to call 7 times . I sat for a little over 5mins before she asked if I was picking up or placing. When i went to pay for my food i HANDED her my card yet when she returned it she placed it on the counter & flipped the screen around for me to sign i pressed for a printed receipt and when it came out she ALSO threw it down on the counter instead of handing it to me . She stuffed my whole order into one bag then got upset when I asked for extra bags . My boyfriend and I sat in the parking lot separating food and noticed we had NO utensils whatsoever, so while i separated my boyfriend went in to ask for some. when he finally came out he had an angry look on his face and said that instead of her just handing him some utensils she argued with him that she already had some in the bag for us . honestly the way she stuffed my whole order into that small black bag there was NO room for the food let alone some utensils . Long story short she is the first person people see when they walk into this business she is NOT a friendly face and her customer service absolutely SUCKS. Upon entering Jasemine’s on the Bayou for the first time, I was excited to explore the menu and indulge in some delicious Southern cuisine. However, regrettably, my visit did not meet my expectations.
I ordered three containers of red beans, priced at $16. While I understand that quality comes at a cost, I was disappointed to find that the containers were not filled adequately. Given the price point, I had anticipated a more generous portion size. Moreover, the flavor and overall quality of the dish did not align with the price I paid. I was expecting a culinary experience that would leave a lasting impression, but unfortunately, that was not the case.
As a customer, I value transparency and value for money when dining out. While I understand that every restaurant has its strengths and challenges, I believe it’s crucial to provide honest feedback to help improve the overall dining experience for future patrons.
I want to emphasize that my intention is not to disparage your establishment but rather to offer constructive criticism. I believe there is always room for improvement, and I hope this feedback will be taken into consideration as you strive to provide the best possible dining experience for your customers.
Despite my disappointment with this visit, I do hope to see improvements in portion sizes and food quality to justify the prices.

I felt that the server we had was the best server I have ever come across and I have traveled from the west coast to the east coast. She was well informed, very professional, and courteous, not once did anyone at our table have to look for her as she stayed on the ball with everything yet she never interrupted a conversation or made anyone feel crowded. We had a birthday with a party of 8. Our table was already set up and ready when we arrived. We were seated immediately and were never rushed to order or to leave. The food was delicious, all appetizers, drinks and meals were all correct the first time around and there was no confusion when placing the orders a d came to the table within just a short time. I am extremely picky when it comes to service and my food and I found no faults, the experience was great, a 5 star all the way around. And the server, I don't remember her name but she wore an a fadora with such style. If you are ever in Baton Rouge this is definately a place to try out, you will definately be pleased and if you see a server there with a fedora on, that's the server to ask for.
