I really wish I could give this restaurant more stars. Five just isn't enough. I started looking for a place to serve pizza that wasn't a chain like Domino's, Papa John's, or Pizza Hut. And this place popped up much to my delight. So the fam went for lunch and we got a 10-in meat lovers, an 18 in supreme and of course I had to try the house salad. I was kind of underwhelmed by the appearance of the tomato basil vinaigrette, but I was going to try it regardless. It was amazing! The pizza was the best I've ever had and I highly doubt I will be ordering from anyone except New York Pizza and pasta in the near future. This place is a gem. Seriously, you need to try this place. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is lovely. The wait staff is absolutely delightful and the food is outstanding. I can't wait to go back and try some of their pasta dishes. I liked it so much I got another 18 in supreme to bring home to those family members who missed out on our lunch today. I would give this place 10 stars. Update: Had to come back today and order dinner for the fam. Phenomenal as usual. Today we got a house salad (crisp and beautiful with their amazing house dressing), fried cheese (the marinara is so authentic it reminds me of the sauce my Italian uncle makes), spaghetti and meatballs (don't even get me started on how heavenly delicious these meatballs are) and an 18" meat lovers pizza. I'm in heaven!! Who needs olive garden when this little gem is hidden on Jones Creek?!

This is the real deal. I grew up eating my Sicilian grandmother's dishes and this place hits the spot. Nice friendly servers, very clean and nice atmosphere, reasonable prices. The desserts are also really outstanding. The tiramiau is spot on: not soggy and the flavor is there (it is not easy to make). Cannoli is different than the traditional kind you would get at Brocato's down in New Orleans however, it still has the right flavors and texture, their shells are perfectly made with a tiny tone of cinnamon. Dishes are presented beautifully, ready for photography. If you're looking for reasonably priced, excellent Italian food, this place will fill your guts and put a smile on your face for about 50 bucks for you and your date. As a Sicilian, I highly recommend, treat yourself right and splurge here. You will not be disappointed. Fyi, my pic is the mussels, clam and shrimp over pasta with a light red sauce. Take your time with this one and savor all of the individual flavors.

Picked up 10” and 14” pizzas last night. The Quatro formaggi was the best cheese pizza I’ve ever had. I typically eat my pizza covered in pepper flakes, parm, and hot sauce. It would have been disgraceful to cover up the sharp cheesy flavor of the quatro if I had done that. 10/10 will come back for this pizza all by itself. The 14” pepperoni pizza was lack luster. It’s about what you can get from slitz and giggles. Like night at the bar, bite to eat to sober up sort of pizza. The restaurant is clean, the pizza was ready in 15 min. I did get an odd vibe from the lady that cashed us out. Maybe it was just an end of the night thing since it was 8pm. But she was very polite over the phone at least. One draw back is the pizza’s that are sold by the slice looked like they had been sitting there since opening. If we had wanted to try something else, those pizzas would not have sold us on venturing out. All in all, I’d go back for a whole cheese pizza, fresh and to-go.

Best pizza in town still open.

It has always been a toss-up between new pizza locations and the Fluer de Lis. But it is a shame the Fluer has closed after 76 years.

I personally like thin crust New York style pizza with a great made from scratch sauce, (not delivered in an 18 wheeler every other day in 5 gallon buckets). The cheese must taste like cheese not shredded white tasteless rubber.

The New York Pizza and Pasta is a legitimate NY style Italian restaurant unlike any here in Baton Rouge. You could eat here for almost an entire month and not have the same thing twice, even though you would find many selections worth eating them more than once.

My favorite, as well as my family's is their 18" pepperoni pizza. Order it by phone at 6:00pm and pick it up piping hot at 6:20pm. Their 18" Supreme is aptly named. Not many topping left to add and just a plethora of great tastes in every bite.

Their pastas are fantastic, especially their Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo....not the usual bland American style, but much richer, lighter and silkier in taste.

Oh just try it once...you...

The first time I had a manicotti it was a warm, mushy, cheesy perfection. Then, over the next 30 years, I searched; only finding one or two that I couldn't count on. Until now.

The manicotti at New York Pizza and Pasta is so very good. You know how Krispy Kreme donuts melt as you bite into them? That's the way I experienced this cheese. It melted in exquisite happiness and warm joy in my mouth. Tonight is my second time here, and the manicotti is just as delicious.

So, the other stuff. Hubby gives his crispy Hawaiian pizza with added pepperoni and banana peppers two thumbs up. Lovely, yummy bread knots - buttered with the little bit of garlic - are provided free

The interior is cozy with cushioned chairs warm cherry laminated wood tables with eight booths and at least six regular tables, socially distanced.

Everyone we worked with was wearing a mask, and the cleaning right now is definitely with a significant disinfectant. There are lights and leaf decor going down the center, and two TV screens on silent with...
