I placed my order at 7:34 and five people came after I ordered. I dealt with a bad attitude from the beginning I over looked it but noticed smiles when others ordered their food. My 13 year old asked was she racist and I said no she’s just bias little did I know she wasn’t bias but very racist! I waited until 8:19 asked was my food ready because 4 out of the 5 people received their order so when they gave the other people their food they started going through the bag looking to see if the order was right. Then I asked the lady where’s my order because it’s been close to an hour since I ordered she chase the people to their car and return with the bag of food and proceeded to tell me that my order is ready. I then proceeded to ask her if I could get another order she refused to accommodate me saying nothing was wrong with the food after I seen the other customer go into the bag and open the plate. So she then goes to say both of you have the same face! I then asked for a refund she went into the cash register and threw the money onto the counter and then the other people also felt offended and asked for a return as well. I try not to characterize anyone as racist but I have to admit that was VERY RACIST !! I am so shocked that in this day in age people are still somehow able to act in such an awful manner especially in a society where people rights are displayed...
Read moreAs usual food is great...but all menus listed online is about 60% of the real price you have to pay. The owners have taken advertised inflation a tad far. There are other Chinese take-out places nearby who has pretty good food but has not gone wild with their prices. I believe I will find other places until China Kitchen re-examines their pricing. One dish I get there often has gone from $5.99 per serving to $9.95 and the primary ingredient has actually been going down in pricing over the last 7 months. This is sad for a place that was known for good Chinese at fair pricing. By the way, I came there at about 5:30pm on a Saturday which is usually packed. I saw no one there and since my order was not quite ready yet, I heard no calls indicating ordering ....maybe their pricing needs to be re-examined. I will try again there in 6 months. Which means that the owners will be losing about 35 orders from me at about, current pricing, $26 per order, or a little over $900.
I usually only review good/great food experiences, which until lately China Kitchen has been. I only hope in 6 months they are still open so I can resume eating where I really like to. I am really sorry to have to do this...
Read moreMy first impression was not great. I phoned in an order. The woman taking my order questioned me, asking if I knew my chow mein was all vegetables. I'd requested the house chow mein, which I figured included 3 meats. She kept saying it was all vegetables. So I said I'd have the chicken chow mein. Again she said, it's all vegetables. I replied "with chicken, right?" She said yes. I tried to lighten her attitude by saying I love vegetables. Anyway, the food was okay, pretty watery sauce, not much flavor. I really hate giving less than 4 star reviews, but I hope the owner reads this and learns that the way they treat their customers is at least as important as the quality...
