This was the best Bloody Mary I've ever had. Let me explain. Usually, in most people's minds, what makes a good Bloody Mary is hanging fried food and pickles and/or bacon off the side of the glass, but at this place, there is another approach. That is the art of simplicity and flavor. The ice was crushed, which did away with the thick slury of veggie juice (a factor that makes most people hate bloody marys), instead there was a uniformed smoothness to the drink which made it more enjoyable. It also benefited from the pepper infused vodka. To tie it off was the perfect addition of black salt to the rim. The egg on top was great and paired nicely with the drink. I've been drinking bloody marys for years, and this one will stick with me. There was a certain dignified simplicity that stood out. I could go on and on, but it was just wonderful. I guess I can't believe that they improved the drink so greatly with just a few minor tweaks. Anyway, everything else was great, too. If you're looking for a fun brunch place for drinks and small bites, this is a fun place to try. We liked the eggs we tried a lot, and I would certainly recommend trying your selections deep-fried just to compare and do a taste test. This place would be amazing for someone on keto/carnivore diets or someone who's just trying to eat more protein and less carbs. Loved loved this place. But quick question for the owner: What's with the ocean themed videos on the TVs? I was a little confused on that one, but it didn't negatively impact my...
Read moreMy honest professional southern review of Nebraskan deviled eggs (this title is meant to be silly cuz Omaha has taunted me for literal years) Presentation: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Taste: 3/5 Price: 2/5
The service here was spectacular. I was greeted right when I walked in, it was self seating, the atmosphere was relaxed and the music was early 2000s which I'm a fan of. Our server was friendly, attentive and did a great job explaining everything.
First off, I want to say I think you guys SEVERLY missed the mark by not having some sort of sampler on the menu.
The food: Chicken bacon ranch the bacon was fake- it doesn't take but a few minutes to mass cook bacon at a restaurant. The chicken crumbles were smaller than the fake bacon pieces. Couldn't even tell it was part of it. The flavor of fake bacon over powered.
Cheeseburger: it was perfect, no complaints except maybe a little less lettuce and where was the tomato (not exactly a fan anyways).
Backyard BBQ: there was supposed to be pulled pork on this and I realized on the drive home it was missing. The BBQ sauce was absolutely vinegar based and overpowered all of it.
The price altogether was $22 which I honestly think is outrageous considering thr cost of the ingredient to make this and the fact they came out within 2 minutes of the order being placed.
Will I be going back? Sure. I wanna try the other things but I'll be going back on a Tuesday when they are 50% off. Or when it's more cost prohibitive and go with multiple people to share...
Read moreOverall the food was good! We had the fried goat cheese balls, and 3 different deviled eggs.
The goat cheese balls are a little smaller than a meatball, and covered with a spicy honey. Not quite worth the $14 price tag in my opinion but they were good.
We got the Cali, BLTE, and smoked salmon eggs. All three were good. Between 6:00 and $7 for a set of three deviled eggs. You can also pay an upcharge of around $3 to have them deep fried if you wish!
We didn't get any of their cocktails but the menu of drinks sure looked good and there seem to be a lot of people at the bar ordering drinks!
We also got one of their deviled eggs to go. It is served in a mason jar layered with the same ingredients. Imagine a kind of egg salad mixture!
Waitress seem to be in a hurry so service wasn't anything special, it was also not super crowded with several empty tables. I just don't think customer service was her first priority.
Atmosphere was all right. Furniture was comfy and the bar had several large TVs above it playing some obscure sports channels. (College gymnastics, country car derby racing, and some sort of music video channel. )
The kitchen door is open to the restaurant and you can see and hear inside. Several times you could hear things banging around in the kitchen over the sound of your conversation at the table. That could have also been due to the fact the speaker in one corner of the restaurant cuts in and out so when it wasn't on there was nothing to cover the...
