I'm a bit torn what I should rate this place as a wedding venue. First, let me say this, it turned out beautiful and elegant. However, the last 5 pictures I've included were taken the friday prior to my wedding, which was the following sunday. I had booked 5 months prior, and was well aware of the construction going on upstairs for the lofts, but assured it would be completed prior to my may 2023 wedding. I would periodically stop by to visit Geneva (the most kind and amazing seamstress) for a fitting, dress pick up, bridesmaid dress fitting, etc. And each time I left feeling a bit unsure, it was looking worse than the time before. I spoke with the property manager approximately 1 month before the wedding, she told me there were delays, which I completely understand. The entire arch upstairs was stacked with large appliance boxes, which could be seen by anyone anywhere from the rotunda/ballroom, which is what i had booked. We had a friendly chat, and she promised me that the boxes would atleast be cleared out of the large arch window upstairs (this is where i had planned to do family photos) . After all, no one wants a large majority of wedding photos with mountains of appliance boxes as a background. My maid of honor and I went to pick up her dress the friday afternoon before my Sunday wedding, and I lost it. The grooms room was covered in saw dust, wood shavings, etc, and bridal suite, which I had also paid for, was completely inaccessible due to a 3 ft high stack of plywood in front of the door. I was devastated, when I spoke with the property manager, and I'm sure she was as frustrated as could be, I was less than pleasant because of the absolute disaster I was seeing and understandably so. She very curtly told me, they had nowhere to move the stuff and it was too late in the day, it is what it is, and then proceeded to dismiss me. Weddings are stressful, I did not want to be treated like that and brushed off. Luckily, my husband, who is much more level headed than myself, knows the contractors and made a few phone calls, turns out they had never even been told there was a wedding or even asked to move anything out of sights view. It was a quick and easy fix. I've taken over a year to leave this review to think it through. Katy depot, absolutely everything I wanted, and far more beautiful than imaginable. The event coordinator, Liz, friendly, in every way. The property manager, well she was understandably under tons of stress. I do wish she would have handled things differently, but I probably should have, as well. The venue itself deserves 5 stars, but when the manager put her hand up, shut me down and just walked away, 2 days before my wedding saying nothing can be done, that was a zero...
Read moreThe first time I visited this lovely place was when my daughter was choosing it for her wedding venue and at the time it was still under renovation and I believe it is still currently being renovated but it has amazing boutiques, a wine and cheese bar, a coffee bar, a vintage store that is amazing, a bridal store, did I mention they have apartments for lease as well. My daughter's wedding was lovely. The bridal room was so spacious. I love how it's nostalgic I love how it has history throughout depicting the 1920s era..I love the chandeliers everything was wonderful. There were a few things that I did not prefer, but I believe with the right management and staff and adding a few more local vendors...The Katy Depot will definitely be hosting an array of weddings, parties and galas. I highly...
Read moreWe stopped by Katy Depot today for a local art fair and were pleasantly surprised by what a wonderful place it is. It was our first time visiting, and we were really impressed with how nicely the building has been maintained and how many different businesses call it home.
The grounds are beautifully kept and add so much charm to the overall experience. Everything about the space—from the layout to the welcoming atmosphere—makes it an ideal spot for community events.
The staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful, which added to the positive impression. You can tell this place is well-managed and appreciated by locals and visitors alike.
Now that we’ve discovered it, we’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for more events held here. Katy Depot is a real...
