I have gone to Beaches 'n' Cream on two separate occasions this week-- mostly because other Dennis Port ice cream parlors have been packed on this 4th of July weekend. Despite its logo displaying a shark adorn in a Jamaican rasta, there are no Jamaican-themed items on its menu [consisting of ice cream, bagels, and açaí bowls]. Is tacky cultural appropriation to blame for its poor service-- perhaps not.
There were three people working and no line when we got there this morning, ordering açaí bowls and bagels. After 15 minutes of waiting in their cramped seating area, our food arrived. Although the food was delicious, the small portion sizes weren't worth the wait. The bagels had a skim coat of cream cheese [which you have to pay four extra dollars for] and I could swear that the cream cheese was made on-the-spot the way some of the workers were shuffling around.
Moreover, earlier this week, when I went out for ice cream, the taste was on-par with the rest of Cape Cod's various ice cream stops. The only thing I would steer clear from is the whipped cream which left a bad aftertaste in my mouth. Overall, B&C has some good food but its service and outside eating area left more...
Read moreStepping into Beaches and Cream is like taking a sweet trip back in time! This place has a childhood aesthetic with its bright colors and fun, beachy theme. But let's get to the main event: the ice cream. Oh. My. Goodness. They don't skimp on anything here. The ice cream not only are huge portions for small prices! But all fresh ingredients.
But the real stars are the sundaes. These aren't your average, run-of-the-mill sundaes; they're towering masterpieces of ice cream deliciousness! We're talking multiple scoops, rivers of hot fudge, sprinkles, cherries, and enough whipped cream to make you think you've landed in a cloud. Sharing is definitely encouraged, but let's be honest, you might not want to.
Beyond the amazing ice cream, the atmosphere is just plain fun. It's a lively spot, perfect for families, dates, or anyone who wants to indulge their sweet tooth. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, as it's a popular place, but trust me, it's totally worth it. Beaches and Cream isn't just an ice cream shop; it's...
Read moreThis place was such a cute little destination after we had dinner. We ordered a brownie sundae and an order was called out that we (mistakenly) thought was ours (containing no brownie) and we were just going to let it slide. Unfortunately, we did take someone’s order but they quickly remade it for the other people and the owner came out and asked if ours had the brownie in it. We apologized and said that it doesn’t and he gave us the other sundae as well. So for the price of one, we got two huge sundaes! It was delicious.. and the owner was so kind and interacted with us and it was such a pleasant experience for the first night of our honeymoon! Best wishes to your business. -Sydney...
