Colima Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Denver

I am not going to say I am picky about my Mexican food, I am VERY picky. I often fear trying new places because they are let downs even when people say it is the best Mexican food they've ever had. They just don't know what Mexican food is or should taste like. NOT COLIMA! I am so glad I tried it out!

To start, the service is friendly, welcoming, simply outstanding. Food is flavorful and as authentic as Mexican food can get North of the Mexican border. The menu may seem small at first glance, but there are A LOT of delish dishes there. I have a feeling that no matter what you try, it'll be great.

I was also pleasantly surprised about how good the drinks were, especially the Mezcalina (if you are into Mezcal like I am). If you are adventurous in how you eat and drink, Colima...

This place blew expectations out of the water, don’t miss out!!

Clean environment, friendly and accommodating staff from start to finish. We were seated immediately, our waiter took orders promptly and stayed on top with perfectly-timed refills, check-ins and condiments (mild and hot).

The food was INCREDIBLE, I got the guacamole burger and fries, and my partner got 2 quesobirria tacos - she’s from Jalisco, and told me that this was the best quesobirria she’s had outside of Mexico.

We will definitely be coming here again, and recommending it to folks as a great Mexican...

This place has literally some of the best food I've experienced in my life. I waited to write a review to make sure it was consistent (I never write reviews), and let me telllllll you: I don't know who the chef is here, but they needs A RAISE. They are always on point, always on time, and have the kindest people working there who genuinely care about what they do. I've been here nearly 10 times and am anything but a loyalist throughout my life. As far as Colima goes, I'm loyal as can be.
