Love the neighborhood bar concept, as this place sat empty for a good year and half. I’v been 4 times and all four times the food has been great. The 3 star comes from us coming in yesterday to order wings. They used to have all you can eat, but now they’re 75cents. We asked for two different flavors out of 14 wings. The cook said he couldn’t do it...the place was literarily empty, (posted a pic)the only customers were the barflies drinking at the bar. This struck me as odd, since the food , service and drinks are usually above average. So we asked to put them on two different orders for him to oblige. I could understand if they were busy, but we were the only people eating there and it was their special.....if they’re that lazy with requests, I can’t imagine what else they’re skimping on in the back. The happy hour went from being a great deal to meh, I’m assuming to keep the rif raff in the area away. This place used to be a 5 but every time I go in, it seems like its worsening . I’m afraid this place won’t be open much longer and will sit...
Read moreThis place was goooood. Saturday night and a group of us were craving Mexican food. It was late (2130) so we were looking for a family type restaurant that was still open and came across this place. So happy we did. I had the tacos (pictured), which to me were the ideal street taco. Flavor of the meat and the light fried tortilla was out of this world. My daughter's each had a burrito and devoured them despite being huge and our friends both had chicken quesadillas which were absolutely delicious. The place wasn't crowded which was a real susprise given the night and time. The only draw back at all was the music was so loud it hurt our ears and it was difficult to communicate with the staff because of that. But given it was Saturday night I gave the music a pass hahaha. Overall it was a great experience and if I lived in Denver you'd have a new regular customer. Thank you for the hospitality and the...
Read moreThis place just lost out on two people that would have been regulars. We walked in and a server stood up from a table that she was sitting at with other customers and told us we could sit whatever. We told her we would be on the patio and she acknowledged that. Almost 10 minutes later, no one came out. The breaking point was when a guy that had been talking to others on the patio the entire time we were out there, walked over to a table right next to us and started bussing it without saying a word. We left at that point and I don't think anyone even noticed.
As a former server, I can tolerate a certain amount of waiting when it is busy, but this place was far from busy. There were maybe 4 tables with people and a few people at the bar. No excuse for us being ignored especially after pointing out that we would be on the patio and an employee was out there...
