We drove from Arvada for halal food and came due to the reviews.
We ordered an Afghan burger and Chicken Schwarma plate. The afghan burger is not a burger. It’s a wrap. With one slice of deli meat. There was essentially no meat, the equivalent of one medium sliced turkey slice. Rest was lettuce and fries. It’s wrong to put this little meat in a burger. It feels intentionally like cost cutting. Fries are mushy too.
The plate was nothing special either. Rice was bland. Chicken was not juicy like you would expect from a Mediterranean grill. The lettuce didn’t have a mixture, was literally shredded lettuce (like from a bag from the grocery store) with a light layer of sauce on top, no tomatoes onions lime anything.
It feels they intentionally ate cost cutting. It’s food you could make at home with not much work. At a very high price relative to what it is.
Be cautious before coming, I’m not sure why such good reviews, but if you do have the same experience please share as I feel I’ve wasted $25 entirely on this.
The mixed platters doesn’t even come with rice or bread. For $16 it’s literally just the meat??? Skip this place.
UPDATE: Owner responds with the horrendous response below which should prove something. We had 3 adults. I ordered from another restaurant, and bought my mom and brother a meal here to be nice. There was zero splitting of meals, and it's sad that's the best you can come up...
Read moreNot sure why this place has any good reviews. They must be fake.
The food is extremely small portioned, its as if they are intentionally trying to save money on food. Feel free to take the risk and learn the hard way, but i'd suggest trying any other place instead. Owner is pretty rude, just read his comments to all the reviews below and you can tell. Place is very old, it is not an amazing little market in a grocery store as advertised. It's old, dirty, and they are clearly cutting costs in any way (which I respect as a small business - but not at the effect of giving customers less than what they paid for)
Buyer BEWARE. Go anywhere else, or see how it turns out for yourself! Food is expensive, does not come with any sides, and is all lettuce/bread. They intentionally are stingy with the food and owner does nothing...

Every dish was bursting with flavor, authenticity, and love. The spices were perfectly balanced, the meat was tender and juicy.
The hospitality was just as impressive — warm, welcoming. The staff was attentive and kind.
