I love this place with all of my heart. Ive been going to Lees since I discovered it back in San Jose, CA. Their food is amazing, so fresh and delicious every time. I like to experiment with different flavor combos. I want to try the entire menu. So good. Hidden gem. Thank God this place is here. Very nice people here too.
The IT infrastructure here is dismal at best.
I have a serious problem trying to order delivery from both Grubhub and Doordash. I ended up asking friends or acquaintances to pick up my order after multiple days of failed orders online. After I left this first review there have been countless efforts on my part to order a simple smoothie via online, all failed because the way the IT guy or consultant set up the third party ordering system. I cant simply order a honeydew smoothie with boba or rainbow jelly, or any other smoothie online. Just fraps, and drinks with ice. I dont want a frap but I sure want a coffee smoothie with coffee jelly. I have to come in person to order what I really want.
Also, regulars should get at least some special treatment. I feel as if I am not valued as a regular by the business but valued as a customer. Maybe implement a points system or something. The employees there again are great I appreciate them.
Also if you put heated seating outside, I would eat outside on site more often and I am sure others will as well.
I will still rate this place 5 stars because the pros definitely...
Read moreSo disappointed. I chanced upon Lee’s sandwich and decided to go since most of the banh mi shops in town are not open in the evenings. It was cold, so a drive thru felt like a convenient option. I grew up in CA, but left before Lee’s popped up everywhere. I didn’t even know the chain came to Colorado. I thought, “how bad could it be?” Well, let me count the ways. The drive thru speaker was broken so I had to pull up to the window, but there was no one there for quite a while. That’s no biggie, I don’t mind subpar service if the food is good. I ordered the grilled pork banh mi and a hot chocolate because it was so cold. Lee’s bread was dry, hard, and stale. The fillings were paltry compared to any banh mi I’ve ever had. The marinated meat had flavor, but could not mask the poor quality of the meat. The texture was a giveaway that it was not good meat. The hot chocolate had barely any flavor in it. What I think happened was they ran water through the machine that previously had chocolate, but forgot to put chocolate in mine. It was literally chocolate flavored warm water with foam. Like the product of what you would throw away after flushing the machine through to clean it. Disgusting. The price was not cheap for what I got. Local banh mi shops are comparable in price and much much better. I regret coming here due to a moment of laziness and lapse in judgment. I recommend skipping this drive thru chain and supporting small...
Read moreAmazing experience and food!
Im a big fan of banh mi, and so I've had quite a few in the area. Lee's sandwiches are a fusion of European (the bread) and Vietnamese (the fillings). Across their menu, you can see the inspiration from both cultures, as there are many staple Vietnamese and European style sandwiches. I was greeted by a very welcome voice who was happy to recommend their pork sandwich (number 5) and also the Vietnamese coffee. Let me tell you, not only was the sandwich fresh, delicious and filling, but I was also pleasantly surprised with the size and cost. You are going to find value here across the menu!
After exchanging some good conversation at the window, the employee handed over the Vietnamese coffee with a warning not to drink too fast because it's strong and promptly handed me my sandwich after. The coffee was superb, best I've had in a long time as I'm a serial Dutch Bros and Starbucks drinker. Their flavors don't even come close to the strength and balance of Lee's coffee.
I cannot recommend this place enough, Im actually worried this will be my new stop as it, after one meal, became one of my favorite small business restaurants in my backyard. I will be back, thank you Lee's Sandwiches for bringing us delicious food and coffee to our...
