The worst experience ever. Our server rolled his eyes the whole time but we just let him be because everyone has bad days. My problem was being served spoiled fish cakes and spoiled meatballs in my soup. I let the server know as soon as I tasted the meats because it was so sour and pungent that I had to spit it out. I told him I didn’t want it remade as I lost my appetite. When he brought the check, the soup was still on the ticket so I went and asked nicely for it to be removed. He rolled his eyes and said I already ate half of it. I told him to go smell the meat because I had to spit it out since it was spoiled. I even tried my other friend’s meats and they tasted fine so it was just my dish that had the spoiled meat. He rolled his eyes and took it off the check. Then he returned the check after circling the 20% tip recommendation as if he gave good service. Our friend was nice enough to still tip 20% but I don’t think any of us will return and neither will our family/friends. I understand some management doesn’t allow the staff void orders but the basic courtesy is to apologize for serving spoiled food, not roll your eyes and accuse me of eating half of it. Take a look at the picture to see how much is left.

This is hands down one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I've been to--not just in Denver, but anywhere! And I have the glowing praise from my Vietnamese mom to back that up! We tried two different types of bánh canh (Vietnamese "udon" noodle soup), and both broths were incredibly rich and flavorful. My mom had the roasted duck noodle soup, and she couldn't stop raving about it--from the perfectly cooked duck to the depth of the broth. She's a tough critic, so that says a lot! My sister and mom also got durian and soursop smoothies, respectively, and both were big fans of their drinks! The herb plate was generous, to say the least. We actually had to ask the server to take some away because there was no way we could finish it all. But beyond the quantity, the quality was on point--10/10. I didn't spot a single brown leaf or any imperfections. Everything was fresh and vibrant. As for the service, it was equally top-notch. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm, making us feel like we were part of their family the whole time we were there. My mom's already planning a family outing here to try even more dishes from their extensive menu. Can't wait to come back!

Food: Average Service: The restaurant was not too busy after 1pm on Sunday. We were seated promptly, but had to wait 10 minutes before someone came to take our orders. The vegetables and sauce came out quickly, then my dish came first. I started eating while my partner waited for his. We were also watching the Rio games on TV, so I took my time eating my dish. Halfway through my dish, my partner's dish was no where to be seen; our waitress had seemed to completely forgotten about us. I had tried first to look her way in an attempt to make eye contact; however that was unsuccessful. I walked up to the counter where boss man stood. He said he would check on it. Then waitress came to our table, told us that the dish was finished but had a "bad smell" so they had to make a new one. She asked me to be understandable since we were all Vietnamese (meaning I should expect less-than-subpar service?). At this point, my partner was already h-angry and this new information had our eyebrows raised about the quality of the food, we decided to cancel the order. My partner asked to talk to the owner, seeing that he was just standing behind the counter. However, no one came. When I walked up to pay my bill, he had disappeared, leaving the waitress there, who now said she is the one overseeing the restaurant, and that the owner does not deal with these things. Since I cannot directly communicate to the owner himself, I've decided to take it to online reviews.

To the OWNER: -In the restaurant business, there will be incidents where your customers are not happy with the food, the service, etc. I do not expect amazing food and service every time. However, the least you can do is to be receptive to feedback, good or bad, and be able to handle it in the most professional manner. Avoiding, and leaving your waitress to be the scapegoat is not it. I can think of a handful of Vietnamese restaurants from Saigon Bowl (Federal), Pho 888 (Aurora), Top Pho (Aurora) to Saigon Basil (Northglenn) whose owners really know how to handle their businesses, that maybe you can...

We opted for the Dinner for Two, and overall, our experience was positive except for the Canh Chua Cá (Sour Soup in Fire Pot). Surprisingly, the soup lacked any sourness, prompting us to bring it up with our server. He ventured into the kitchen to seek an explanation and returned with a bowl of lime, asserting that the flavor was correct and advising us to add the lime for the desired "sourness."

I mentioned to him that it seemed to be missing a critical ingredient, Tamarind, which is essential for achieving the sweet and sour balance. The server responded, "That's how we make it here." My wife then requested him to consult with the chef to rectify the issue. The server promptly took the hotpot to the kitchen and returned it within a mere two minutes. However, he placed it on our table and left without further discussion.

Upon tasting it, we found that it was overwhelmingly sour, as if an entire bowl of lime had been squeezed into it. What was most disconcerting was the lack of honesty in their response. We would have appreciated transparency, such as if they had mentioned being out of Tamarind or having a new cook. Instead, they chose to provide an unsubstantiated explanation. It's worth noting that we were conversing with them in Vietnamese, so their response was quite perplexing, as one would expect them to acknowledge a Vietnamese person's familiarity with the taste of Canh Chua.

I've been a patron of this restaurant since my childhood, back when it was still called Đồng Khánh, and the Dinner for Two was priced at $9.95 per person. With the current cost of $40, the disappointing taste of the dish and the questionable service have left me hesitant to dine here again. My reservations are not due to the food itself, but rather the...

This has been my favorite place for a long time I recently went for lunch and ordered the regular spring rolls with combination pho after I receiving my food and getting half way threw my roll there was a bug rolled into it I called the waiter over very upset he showed another co-worker and went to the kitchen quickly without saying a word I told them I would like another order of spring rolls and I am not going to pay for them they brought me one spring roll just one c puldnt even do an entire order... I was not happy it didn't seem like they cared ...I wasn't too sure about finishing my food due to the fact that I found a bug.. this is disgusting ..my meal wasn't even compensated ..they did however compensate the springrolls however I will not be returning due to the fact that I am worried there will be another bug in my food I went back on my word I decided to return to this establishment and found that I shouldn't have when I ordered a medium Pho combination because of the fact that I was already a little bit worried about finding a bug the last time I went I have started to sift through my phone to make sure I didn't see anything as I was eating sure enough there was another little fly type fruit fly bug in my pho disgusting I did not even complain about it I just know that I won't return the problem is, the problem is that they will not close that back door in their kitchen that will cause food to be contaminated by bugs flying in it disgusts me that they just can't take this small precaution to keep this establishment completely clean now I can say I will...
