For the first time ever I am saying something negative about Arc. However I feel this is warranted. After spending over an hour on buses just to come to this particular arc because on the website it looked as if it was large enough to have a nice selection, I got to the door and was told I couldnt bring my backpack inside, which is normal they usually ask that customers leave them up front, upon me asking where they prefer me to leave it at i was quickly And very rudely informed by the security guard that they "didnt babysit backpacks there and that I couldnt come in with it". This is very wrong to be treated like this because just because i dont own a car to leave my backpack in or because i have to travel by bus meaning it takes most of the day to go the places I have to travel to and therefore bring a backpack with items that may be needed on a day trip, I Wasnt allowed to shop at the only place I spent such a long trip to come to. I have never been refused entry to a store simply for having my backpack. In fact one Arc in particular has a whole system devised in which they hold backpacks and return them almost like a coat check or something. This arc is also one of the least crowded and least maintained arcs Ive ever seen. (Which explains a lot of why there Wasnt many people in there). If I had the money to own a car and didnt need a backpack theres a very high likelyhood that I wouldnt have to ride a bus over an hour to shop at the arc and pay for my purchases with a prepaid gift card given to me from a charitable organization. I am humiliated by the way I had to turn and walk out of the store as if I had done wrong. Someone really should speak With management at this arc and see if they could devise a way for those of us who are forced to carry a backpack could somehow be allowed to shop there as well. I would do it myself but unfortunately I xant come inside...
Read moreI have never been so disrespected in my life. I'm a frequent shopper at metro Denver arc thrift stores and spend quite a bit of money every time I go into one of your stores. I'm an avid hunter for a good deal, so when I came apon a wheel type dollie toolbox .Just a simple Stanley plastic box that stacks , for $ $13.99 I decided to purchase it. Little did I know what I was in for. Apon arriving at the register the cashier Lily proceeded to ring my items up when she got to the toolbox she said that's not the right price and immediately got on the loud speaker and wants a price check, the whole time looking at me like she foiled my master plan or something.so here comes Lisa the store manager comes up and flat out accused me of being in cohorts with one of the employees that works there, and wants to know who's pricing these things for me. Now correct me if I'm wrong but she straight up accused me of being a thief. It's not my problem that your employees are making mistakes on pricing things, the item should have been sold at the price it was marked. No questions asked. I have never been so insulted by a cashier and then store manager in my life. I had done nothing wrong, but yet was made to feel like some sort of criminal. Never again will I spend my money in an arc thrift store, and feel that the store manager(Lisa) should be reprimanded in some way. I have a lot of friends that I will tell to boycott that store in general and I'm sure it will be felt financially. Sincerely...
Read moreRarely find good deals at thrift stores any more, here's why... Found a great deal on a classic game here. I was ecstatic! After stating 'Wow, I didn't know we put out a Zelda game', of course the cashier needs to stash this $3 game at the counter because I might steal it. 20 minutes later I went to check out, suddenly it can't be found. Wow that's weird, it just disappeared from the face of the Earth. Two people called form the back to help search, it's at the bottom of the ocean now, or maybe lost in the Amazon. This has never happened to me before. No one can find it. I can only guess that one of the cashiers took it for themselves ('Wow, I didn't know we put out a Zelda game'), or put it in back to be repriced. Gave me the runaround,"I dUnNo, MuSt Be A CuStOmEr GrAbBeD It ¯(ツ)/¯". This ARC is just as bad as Goodwill. My wife and I go to thrift stores every single weekend, we LOVE it. I'll definitely go back here, I want the thieves to know my face well. For you though? Maybe avoid, or go here if you want to...
