6.30.23 - That would be a no for me. A definite no to the PS Longue
Today I came here looking for the older gentle who once gave my female co-worker a rose. I asked the bartender for him. I didn't know she was the bartender at first. She sat at the bar with customers, maybe 3 people.
She asked why are you looking for him? Then she pointed another man sitting at the end of the bar and it wasn't the old man. I told her that I was looking for him because I saw him as part of the bar's atmosphere.
Then I'm almost certain that the Cuban accent man at the end of the bar said, maybe you got the the wrong f'king bar. I corrected him, then he changed his words to, maybe you have the wrong address. I did not my prior post proves this.
I hadn't even ordered a drink, at this point. It ruined the moment. I left.
PS Longue. That would now be a definite no. Kevy Prior Post was 5 Stars - Not Now.
Nice old fashioned bar. Went after work with a female coworker. They give females fresh roses and ever guest a...
Read moreAcross from the Bluebird. Jukebox! Bottled beers. TV if you want it, but focus is on people and conversation. CoOp with Enzo's. AL Slammer and white rose. Think I saw a pool table. 'Nuff said. Highly recommend.
Started my short-lived "Colfax Pub Crawl" last week at PS Lounge. Dark lighting but nice comfy atmosphere with good music playing from the jukebox. I like that the place was quiet and seemed like it would easily recruit "regulars". In fact, had a friendly conversation with a guy who sat comfortably and threw out trivia questions about Denver haunts.
For those that appreciate rotating taps be forewarned they only serve bottled beers, though they have a great selection that includes local microbrews. Any disappointment I experienced at the bottle-only selection was beat by the fact that I was served an Alabama slammer and a white rose with my beer. And although I didn't take advantage, you can order food from the attached...
Read moreOur bartender Kelly was great and accommodating and the experience with her was wonderful until the owner decided to post up at the bar. Two POC were in our group and once the owner recognized that the atmosphere completely went south. We weren't directly asked to leave, but it was very obvious our presence at the bar was no longer welcomed. Kelly maintained a professional and welcoming attitude but the owner made it apparent that he didn't want us there. We were having normal conversation throughout the evening and were suddenly scrutinized for swearing and told we would have to leave if our language didn't change. We adhered to the owners wishes but it was still fairly obvious he was bothered by our presence. I will never give Pete my business again because of the blatant racism he portrayed.
Pete, from the bottom of my...
