Went recently to have a birthday lunch for a friend. We both tried the real McCoy sandwich and everything from the customer service to the food was just ok. The employee taking orders didn't know much about the sides (when my friend asked about the beans he just showed them to him instead of explaining what they have in them or if he likes them). I asked about the grits and another employee had to chime in that they were good. We both ordered the combo which includes a drink and side. We waited for a while for our food and went in after a while to see if everything was ready. They seemed flustered and told us the food would be right out. Granted there were a few people ahead of us but less than 5 total. The real McCoy sandwich was REAL dry. It comes with burnt ends and the bison green Chile and cheddar sausage (used to have pork as well) and their regular or buffalo sauce helped but not enough to overcome the dryness of the meats. The andouille & corn grits were fine as well. The sausage gives it a nice pop but the grits were more like potatoes in consistency. The best part was the Boylans ginger ale. Bummed Roaming Buffalo wasn't what I had previously. May come back but with other BBQ options it may be a while.

Small neighborhood BBQ restaurant with biggggg flavors. So when we walked in the young lady at the register had absolutely no Idea whats going on and I thought god this is going to be a disaster. They were also out of venison and lamb at noon on Sunday which was another hit for us since thats was the reasonto we wanted to try this restaurant. Anyway, It took almost 40 minutes for our food the get ready which was weird because bbq is always ready to go and takes only few minutes to serve and the delay made me more nervous. So the food arrived and the 2 McCoy sandwiches were 2 different sizes, 1 huge and full of meat and the other small and had les than half of the meat( check out my pictures) But after we started eating wowwww everything changed and we were so happy, what an amazing food wowwww . We ordered 2 McCoy sandwiches and absolutely loved it. We also ordered a 3 meat plate and everything tasted amazing. We will definitely go back for more very soon. I definitely recommend this place to BBQ lovers. Thank you Roaming Buffalo for our wonderful sunday lunch.

I cant believe how good this place is. Buffalo ribs are super tender, the spare ribs smoked to perfection, brisket is out of this world, I mean take a look at the pictures I've posted this is definitely the best bbq in denver. No doubt about it. I brought and recommended this place to handfuls of people and they've all agreed. If you don't stop by and try it. You may regret it for the rest of your life.you should definitely give me a thumbs up if you agree. I've been eating her for years and would love to show the owner that everyone agrees. 😀👍thanks. Also I've tried dumb near everything on the money but not once been disappointed. P.s. I don't even put their homemade super delicious sauce on it. "Cause it don't need it", but youcan if you'd like. Thanks roaming Buffalo for all of the great food.

Terrible, awful, horrible service. Like as in some of the worst service we've ever received anywhere we've ever gone. We knew we were doing a bigger order, so we called ahead. They open at 11, and we called at 11:45. They were already almost out of 3 items we wanted to order. Poor planning if you're running out of stuff less than an hour after you open. But this was the worst: when we ordered, they said everything would be ready in 15 minutes. So we show up 15 minutes after we ordered and pay. Then we sat down and waited. And waited. And waited. No food and not sure what we're waiting for. Finally we approach the counter. The girl behind the counter is obviously busy talking to a friend and pays NO attention to us. Finally one of the guys on the line asks us if we need help. We tell them we're waiting for a to go order. They look in their food warmer. Our order is already ready to go, but they had no idea we were there waiting. The girl behind the counter was as rude and inattentive as any person we've ever seen in all my years of going out for food. She was way too busy socializing with her friend to care about her customers. Even after she knew we had been waiting there for close to 15 minutes, she still didn't care. Not an "I'm sorry" or any acknowledgement that she had screwed up. She basically tried to blame the guys on the line, but they clearly didn't even know we were waiting. They acted genuinely sorry. But her? No way. She's perfectly happy to just sit there hanging out with her friend and doesn't care about customers spending close to $150 on a single order. Some of the worst customer service I have ever...

My wife and I went here on 5/20/2017. We ordered lamb's shoulder and brisket. We also had the grits and cilantro coleslaw sides. There was also pepper cornbread and we had the caramelized banana pudding and the peach upside down cake for dessert. The lamb's shoulder was pretty good. The brisket however was dry and there was no indication of smoke. It could have come out of a crock pot or oven for all I know. We did eat there around 3 PM on a Saturday, so it's possible we were getting end of day BBQ. Next time I come though, I do want to try the ribs or pulled pork. From what I hear, their ribs run out pretty quick which is usually a good sign. The cilantro coleslaw was very good -- it truly had a southwestern flavor. The grits were a little too creamy without much seasoning but not bad. I would think most people would like them. The cornbread was a little dry but they also have this strawberry-jalapeno jam that you can put on them. The jam really improved the cornbread! The banana pudding was pretty good. The peach upside cake is very similar to the Texas take on peach cobbler -- cinnamon on baked peaches. Not bad but it was a little dry. The service here is friendly and the price is about what you would expect these days. BBQ is not cheap. You can tell these guys do care about their craft but I feel like in Colorado, the brisket has got to be spot on. I will come back again for sure and would tell anyone to give it a try. To me, this place does not deserve a 4.9 rating but...

Simply Amazing! I had the Beef Brisket and it was epic! THIS WAS THE SECOND BEST BRISKET I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. The number one spot goes to Rudy’s BBQ in Houston, TX.

Pros:

They asked me how I like my brisket. This is a sign you’re at a place that knows what they’re doing. Personally, I like mine with lots of fat. That’s where all the flavor is located. Their brisket had a nice bark ( or curst ) on it and as soon as you take a bite, it all just melts in your mouth, releasing the hours and hours of slow cooked goodness. 5/5 stars for sure!!!!

Things I could have done without:

The bag containing my brisket was sitting on the passenger seat and was in my car for about 40 minutes. When I got home, I found the grease and juices leaked completely through the bag and all over the perforated leather seat. So if you get the same paper bag, you might want to place it on the rubber side of your car mat.

They gave me two sides of their bbq sauce, which upon opening squirted out from the container. I believe this is partly due to the design of the plastic lids. I noticed on the second container, even when opening it from the sides, the center of the lid presses downward, which in return pushes on the sauce making it squirt out…Fortunately, it all got on my table. The sauce was ok but with how AMAZING my brisket was, the sauce would have...
