I was super stoked to finally try this mile high fave and instead ended up bummed and starving! Granted; I could not try the food to say whether it was good or not but at this point into quarantine and home delivery, this was the worst (outside of getting someone else’s order).
I ordered through a 3rd party app (Uber Eats) which I use often and regularly. I usually get a ding early on that my order was processed and would be delivered at whatever time. Instead the delivered by time kept creeping up. About 40-45 after I placed the order, I called the restaurant (I’ve had my fair share of cancellations of orders and MickeyDs always pulls through in under 20 min) and the friendly restaurant dude who answered the phone let me know my food was hot and fresh and waiting for pickup.
Relieved I waited anxiously for my order.
I received my food an hr after my call. Which means my chicken was sitting out at least an hr. Before it was in my hands.
It was cold
Dry
And literally stuck to the paper like glue (I would guess the hot oil and lack of sauce contributed). There was a lack of sauce to say the least.
My garlic rolls were Rick hard.
Welp, I went for it and missed.
Cant win them all but I would suggest unless picking up yourself, this would be...
Read moreThe wings and garlic knots were delicious and Cesar salad was not bad. Our pizza was good, but the build your own pizza option didn’t let you know how much adding each ingredient would be so our 21.99 pizza was actually over $37 without ever seeing how much the ingredients cost (especially curious because we did a half and half pizza - are ingredients half price for half the pizza? Are the first few ingredients free? I have no idea!). The pizza and ingredients were good and would be worth it at ~$25, but it was expensive for 3-4 toppings on each side (pepperoni, pineapple and onion + artichoke, banana peppers, garlic and sausage). We also got random pieces of carrots on some of our pizza slices which weren’t particularly welcome.
Delivery was fast and the driver was thoughtful about keeping my dressings separate from the pizza to keep them from overheating.
Good food, but in this economy it’s a little too spendy with the extra add on fees and the over priced build your own pizza. Probably something I’d only get once or...
Read moreSo disappointed with the direction they have gone. Sexy used to be the best pizza in Denver and I've probably ordered about 50 pizzas and even have an old shirt I bought that is close to falling apart. Over time it's gotten more and more expensive and seems to just be a money grab now. After spending $45 for a single xl pizza, two sauce cups, and a drink, I get home to find the sauce cups are barely half full. The pizza is still good but I just can't justify spending that kind of money for that kind of experience. Sad to say I won't be coming back.
On a second look at my receipt I see there was also $4 for a tip. I know for a fact I selected not to tip seeing as this was takeout (no service so what am I tipping exactly) and it was already so expensive. Any time the site refreshes it updates to a 10% tip, so clearly when my card details needed updating it went back and added that tip. So so sad at the stinginess and greediness that...
