Sweets & Sourdough — Restaurant in Denver

I see a dangerous (to the waistline) new tradition emerging in our household. Every Saturday we've bought a small assortment of sweet and savory goodies, some for immediate consumption and some to parcel out over the week from our freezer. Everything has been so delicious. On the savory side, so far we have tried a spinach and cheese pastry, one with tomato cheese, sliced sourdough bread, and the world's most delicious salted soft pretzel. On the sweet side, a cardamon bun, a swirly thing with almond paste, and granola. I very much appreciate that the sweets are not too sweet-I often feel like some bakeries confuse sweet pastries with candy. The balance at Sweets & Sourdough is perfect for our taste. This is the best bakery in Denver! I'm so glad they now have a storefront. Their baked goods are divine and fresh, and they have a nice selection to choose from. My fav thing on the menu so far is the BAT (Bacon, arugula, and tomato). I would eat it every day if I could.

The environment is clean and has lots of natural light. The staff is friendly and accommodating. There's indoor and outdoor seating available, and a playground right outside, making it kid and pet friendly. They have wifi for customers too.

They also have Vietnamese food in the same storefront. I'm charmed by this unique blend of options.

Absolutely incredible pastries and sourdough!! I am a sourdough snob and was skeptical that this bakery would have the real thing but I can confirm it is incredible. Tastes like you’ve been transported to SF!! Got an assortment of pastries and breakfast sandwiches as well as bread and am in food heaven. The home made pop tarts are an absolute must. The classic breakfast sandwich is on incredible soft, doughy sourdough English muffins and comes with pickled onions which I was skeptical about too, but it is an amazing twist on a classic breakfast sandwich and cuts right through the fat from the cheese and bacon providing a delicious balance.
