TLDR:The food is awesome! Might be long wait if you don’t have reservations. Good service. Bathroom hallway and route not accessible. The food here is amazing! The dish Kyle’s Riggi’s, in the picture, has the perfect amount of garlic, creamy red sauce, pasta, chicken breast and not-so-spicy and spicier peppers. The red sauce has garlic but not an overwhelming amount. The meat lasagna is a generous serving and delicious! Other pros: interesting old and small restaurant. The kitchen is in the dining area which I find a plus! Once seated the staff is friendly, attentive and personable. Cons: Walking to the restroom is only suited for the able bodied. There’s rugs over cords, bumps and lumps on the route. We were a party of 5 and arrived at 5:00 pm on a Saturday without reservations. There was already an hour wait, so if you are a party of 5 plan to make reservations. The odd thing was we saw larger “reserved” tables remain empty for the entire hour and more while we were waiting. It was an odd way to juggle hosting and seating people. They did not prioritize the people in front of them. Also while waiting outside I observed about 4 groups of less than 5 people walk out and say they were going somewhere else because of the wait. There is a park across the street so if you’re waiting with kids that might be a good way to spend time. There’s also a table by the door that I observed every party they seated at it asked to be moved. It’s right by the door, drafty and since it’s a small restaurant the people waiting inside loom over that table. During a previous visit my family sat there the whole meal and got free dessert - maybe that’s a hidden secret!

Bustling, crowded, cheerful, noisy, rambunctious - the Cherry Tomato in Park Hill may be an archetypal Italian restaurant. It’s how I have always imagined a classic Italian restaurant. The food is (ready for more adjectives?) generous, plentiful, colorful, hot, tasty, delightful. The surroundings are attractive, the seats and tables are comfortable, there’s fun, eye-catching artwork. Gleaming lights dance upon the bottles and glasses behind the bar, and glow along the brick walls. These lights flicker and flow from the fires of the open kitchen to one side of the dining room. The menu is varied, the recipes quite satisfying. I attended with a large party (eight people) on a recent Friday night, and even though we each ordered a different dish, we were all very happy with our meals. I had the tri-colored tortellini, filled with cheese, covered in white wine cream sauce. Local food critics from Westword to 5280 magazine to The Denver Post all agree that the best dish is the Pasta Felese: farfalle (bowtie pasta), chicken, artichoke hearts, peas, and sun-dried tomatoes in the white sauce. I recommend this restaurant for celebrations, as every feature seems to support a celebratory attitude. Which is how I imagine it... when I imagine the archetypal Italian restaurants.

this was the first time in a couple of years and the last. I walked in to pick up the food and the hostess was on her phone. After getting her attention, I gave her my credit card and started watching the baseball game. Realizing after about 10 min that I haven't heard back, I located the hostess once again full on texting on the phone with the to go bag sitting next to her. I asked her for my credit card and she said she didn't have it, she finally located it and said "I didn't know this was yours?!" the food was cold and oily. the service was horrible. plenty of other options in the area to put up with this.

We went here for a graduation since it was the Grad's place. They were able to accommodate the 7 of us with no problem for dinner, but it was a Tuesday, so I can't speak for the weekend, lol. The server was kind, and even though he was busy, you could tell he was working hard to get to everyone on time. We were in a hurry (my fault I was late) but knowing our out time, they still made sure that we had drinks apps entrees and the check right in time for us to leave for the graduation that was at six thirty. We had carpaccio and the antipasto for an appetizer, and it was excellent. A little small, i suggest you would need two of each for a large party to share but still just a light, perfect way to start. Everybody got something different in our family, and I'd have to say, everybody got something delicious. I chosn̈e the Tortellini, and though it was good, ķ aI was hoping that the sauce would have been a little bit thicker, but the flavor was great. My water and drink never hit empty, and bar drinks were out quicl, they just did awesome. This place is such a cute little spot that is a real nod to the city and absolutely is going to be a great spot for the summer. I also want to mention, even though it wasn't our table, that they had quite a handful with the little kids at the table next to us. The staff werecjust absolutely awesome, helping the mom get the kids get through the meal. I was really impressed, actually my whole fakily was. This place was great, and i'm really, really glad that we chose this for such ⁹as an important event. You'll enjoy it. Always remember no matter where you go, being kind is free and patience sets the tone for your evening. Treat...

Not impressed. Horrible management and service. Everything smells burnt. Thick black smoke in the air. Trip hazards all the way to the bathroom. We ordered a salad to split and it's about 5 bites of nothing for $8. Upon coming back from the bathroom 3 servers where doing paperwork over my child's seat, car seat, and diaper bag. I asked if they where going to be hanging out there. The bartender looked at me snapped! She said, "I JUST TOLD HER TO WATCH OUT! I said, ok? This is my stuff and my child's things are they going to be here? She goes, " DO YOU WANT TO MOVE?? DO YOU EVEN WANT TO BE IM PUBLIC??" I'm like not in those smokey teup hazard place. Where is your manager? She said. " I AM THE MANAGER!!" my bf switched baby and I spots because they continued to ivade our space and privacy. Over a 17 month old baby. I told the server we where going to leave. A women apparently the owner came up and started harassing us and yelling in our face!? We told her 3 times we where leaving as she is yelling at us. Shut this place down. I smell like smoke, and my hair and clothes feel damaged. I can hardly breathe, walking out. Avoid!!! Disgusting. Good luck attacking families. My bf had to tell her to stop causing a scene and she blocked my child's stuff more standing over my things in the way blocking us from moving threatening the police. Lol I wish I called the police....
