The French Press — Restaurant in Denver

Ok. So their hours state that they're open until 3pm. So when I showed up at 2:30 only to see chairs up on tables, seeing the kitchen staff sweeping the kitchen, and to be told that they're only serving food in to-go containers and not on plates, is REALLY strange to me??!!?? When you are open to a certain time, you are OPEN until that time. It doesn't mean that you LEAVE at that time??? Clearly they're hoping to walk out the door at 3:00. If you want to leave by 3:00 p.m., then only stay open until 2:00 p.m. instead. If you are advertising that you are open until 3:00 p.m. then you are open until 3:00 p.m. Then you have the closing duties which will put you later than that. Made an online order; they just handed it to a thief...I made a 70+ dollar order through uber eats this morning. Thought i was going to have a lovely brunch with my family. I get a call from uber driver saying they've arrived at the French Press, and not only is my food gone, but the woman behind the counter was rude and aggressive. Well, she was rude because she was defensive, because someone just walked in and grabbed my food, and they just now realized it. They have no system, no questions, people can just take whatever online order and walk away. And when someone comes and exposes their lack of security, they get mad. Real professional... Now I'm out 70 bucks, and have to pivot to something else for breakfast. Just really shoddy from a place i thought had their stuff together (they don't). Don't...

The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, our server was polite, the food came out fairly quick and I love that there is a station to clear your own plates! My husband very much enjoyed his breakfast, not sure what he had but looked like a mountain of deep fried, French toast topped with a berry sauce? Anyway he ate the lot, with no complaints :)

I had the GF buttermilk pancakes... they came with perfectly cooked eggs and crispy bacon, the pancakes could have been delicious, the texture was great, they were piping hot and cooked perfectly - my only problem (probably due to personal preference) was they had SO MUCH CINNAMON!!! I enjoy a hint of cinnamon, especially in pancakes, but these pancakes would have been better off named Cinnamon Pancakes on the menu. Sadly i couldn't finish them :( not through...
