Winchell's donut denver — Restaurant in Denver

This location gets a one star deduction for not allowing the use of their restroom (even for paying customers), but gets one star added back for having my "as-of-late indulgence" on hand when I happened to run through the area at around 4:00am on a Saturday morning (okay, it's the Cinnamon Crunch donuts-- they're just too good, and I cannot help myself). So, yeah-- Winchell's is a donut shoppe; as such, they have donuts, donuts, coffee, donuts, juice, milk, and occasionally more donuts. Unfortunately, they do not allow customers to use their restroom (which, in all honesty, is THE reason I stopped here, as finding a place that is both open 24/7 AND will allow use of their restroom between 10pm-6am is quite challenging; I WILL become a regular paying customer for THAT convenience alone, as I am all over the place). So, all in all, I cannot 5-Star them for that reason-- but I also cannot 3-Star them since they DID have a ginormous batch of freshly made Cinnamon Crunch donuts. Yes, the overindulgence that followed did, in fact, trigger a bit of nausea; such is a fact of life when donuts come into the equation, though. There is, however, a REALLY nice option for alleviating nausea in our state. Unfortunately, while it goes without saying, this remedy oftentimes leads to a compounded problem due to cyclical overindulgence. It's unfortunate, but nonetheless very real.... Okay, okay-- Winchell's has good donuts. Go and...

Pretty much every time I go in here, I get some sort of grief. The owner will argue with me about the names of donuts( raised crumb, everyone knows what that means) I pretty much had to beg one time for one particular donut, it called to me. Owner just kept arguing about the one in his hand was the same kind,,, yes, bro, but i wanted THAT one.

Today I went in, seemed like his approx. 12 yr old son had to be prodded off his phone in the dining area to come help me. Im not really a germophobe but between the phone and the doorknob, im afraid I gotta ask you to wash your hands before serving me a donut, tissue paper or not.

Wont be going in anymore after today. Enough is enough. I wish them all the best, but I just cant spend my money there anymore. I hope the owners of the winchels that got destroyed find a new place or open...

The winchells by my house is closed down due to a RV smashing through it. So now this is our new donut shop. The lady serving my child and I in the front was very welcoming and sweet. She has great service and was very attentive. The only reason I am leaving a 3 stars is because they had no blue beery donuts or pink sprinkled donuts that’s what my child and I came for. But the donuts where still very yummy. Will miss our location on colfax they always had a wide variety of donuts every day we never had to worry about variety. 🍩 hopefully they offer more varieties for children and I will be gladly to change my review...
