Bubble in Paradise — Restaurant in Denville

Honestly I don’t know where to start. The bubble tea here is good but the young Asian girl that works there has a serious problem with customer service. I previously went here and got a new drink I did not like asked politely if they could remake it and the girl ended up making a replacement drink but with an attitude. I let it go because I usually have a decent experience here. This time however, I ordered a hot bubble tea and it was very poorly made and watery. I asked if I could replace with a cold tea and pay for the difference of course and I was told I would have to pay for another drink. Never having to deal with this before I asked for a refund instead and the older Asian lady at the cashier seemed at loss at what to do and kept saying that “prices of things are high right now” and the young Asian woman just laughed and said something in Chinese and said, “Whatever just take it out of my paycheck” in English and proceeded to ignore us. Honestly, very disrespectful and will tell my friends that live in the area to skip this place and go to Veggie Heaven instead for bubble tea. Sad because I’ve spent a lot at this place with my friends however we will not be coming here anymore and will spread the word of disrespect and terrible service. Please train your employees appropriately.

EDIT: In response to the owner’s reply. This proves my point exactly. My boyfriend and I could not understand what one of the workers were saying and they not bother to clarify to us that they wanted to charge us 50% to cover charges. Either way, I’ve been to other “local” bubble tea stores and asked for the same exact thing, for a drink to be replaced, and never had an issue. Regardless, the attitude of the younger woman is not something I’ve suddenly noticed during my last purchase and I believe someone else here has mentioned it also. Additionally, switching from English to another language to either bad mouth a customer or refer to the customer as “she” when they are standing right in front of you is not polite and unacceptable. I speak multiple languages as well and this is something I would never do. It is very disrespectful. Educate yourselves to communicate better with your customers and explain clearly the situation. Also, saying “Just take it out of my paycheck” with an attitude while giving someone their refund does not justify anything. Customer service is the worst of all bubble tea places we’ve been. The young woman at the counter has an attitude that she should work on if they are to be in this industry. Their place is not a chain so their customers may not be too familiar with their drinks/menus. We went there with no other customers waiting in line and we are still trying to choose what to order but the woman made us feel like we were wasting her time and was rushing us in a most condescending tone. I had to literally look if there were people waiting behind us for her to be in a rush but nope, there’s none. And yes I’d like to reiterate other reviews that they speak other language in front of you when confronted with a question, which is very rude. She sounded like she’s fluent in English so it’s really intentional to speak in another language so that the customers wouldn’t understand their rude comments. Very rude and unprofessional! The place is very easy to find. The place is always very busy and crowded. You’re in a wonderland full of soft plush toys as soon as you enter the store. The Color’s are vibrant and uplifting, the store gives you a great vibe and it has so many stuffed toys to buy. They have so many boba options and hot food options too. The place is sure to put a smile on your face. The service is super fast and the staff is very friendly. Make sure you go to the store only if you are ready to spend some money on stuffed toys 😝 Got the Chocolate Boba and trust me it was the best boba I had till now. The place is amazing, the aesthetics are on point. It has so many stuffed toys and anime action figures to shop. The whole place is full of life filled with so many colours. You get Pokémon stuffed toys, boba stuffed toys, demon slayer and dragon ball z toys along with so many boba flavours to choose from. This’ll be my go to place from now.
