McDonald's — Restaurant in DeRidder

It's McDonald's everyone has been there, at the time I went I only saw one fly flying around the cash register if that helps. Also ordered my food fresh I only eat their fish sandwiches and fries. The fries were good as they were fresh because I asked for fresh, had I not I likely would have received cold nasty fries as fast food often does. A bit overpriced on the fries (3 bucks large)and definitely on the fish sandwhiches (4 bucks and tax for 1, but I got the current 2 for 5 promotion). Again the fish was fresh as I had asked specifically for them to be made fresh. Same deal with fries if you don't order fresh specifically you'll likely get a cold old overpriced sandwhich that should have been given to the homeless, or thrown away. One in every few times their fish sandwhiches will have a section that is particularly fishy even when made fresh. This time it did not and all tasted well but again that's 4 dollars and tax for a single filet sandwich not a double. For 5 dollars you could get a shrimp poboy that tastes excellent every time from a mom and pop diner in Lake Charles that has so much shrimp you basically have an appetizers worth on the plate that wouldn't fit inside the 6 inch poboboy. This seafood and burger joint has "bills" in the name but no "steamboat" highly recommended if you were able to choose between the 2, at the "bills" place you also have the option of having the shrimp fried or grilled, tasting great either way. I have been going to McDonald's since I was a little girl. I even remember having a few birthday parties there over the years. This was in FL. As I grew up I have visited probably 100 if not more of them. Yes I have run into your normal they forgot your fries or forgot to leave off the lettuce. Or they were out of napkins. And of course the famous our ice cream machine is down in the middle of the hottest part of July. But I have NEVER seen such a POORLY RUN BAD QUALITY McDonald's as the one in DeRidder,LA!! The employees are the RUDEST DIRTIEST non caring bunch of people I have ever seen!! They have no work ethic, pride in their job or sense of responsibility!! I have been in there and seen them touch food while cooking with bare hands. Eating while cooking and preparing food for orders. All while non gloved. Cleaning the dining room then going right back to prepare orders without washing their hands or gloves. Not cleaning the drink machines when swapping out products. Just overall really GROSS UNSANITARY THINGS!! Any other state I have lived in just one of these things the health department would have shut them down. There is only one employee there that is actually worth anything. She is WONDERFUL!! I don't know her she works mornings she is a older lady that limps and is just AWESOME. I usually dont leave bad reviews, but a few of your employees need to be reminded of their manners, and stop playing where people can see especially if they aren't gonna get the orders right, when I pulled up to the second window one of the employees was playing around with a Togo bag on his head. I ordered a bacon mcdouble with mayo and mustard no onions no tomatoes and extra pickles. The lady who took my order and my money was very sweet and everything I had asked for was correct on the screen, so I pulled up to the second window to get my food at first the guy was sweet and handed me my food I checked my food before leaving because we all know how McDonalds is and everyone makes mistakes I know I use to be a waitress. My order did not have any lettuce on it so I politely told him what was wrong and asked him to fix it he said yes but rolled his eyes. Since he was so annoyed with me asking him to fix it he had to come back again and ask me what was wrong with it. He fixed it but he made it messy, when I got home I realized that it didn't have mustard and it only had three small pickles on it that didnt even cover the bun.
