I wish that I could give this a higher rating because the staff was wonderful.
My husband and I ate at Trevi 5 after the manager at Hershey Grill rudely insinuated that my husband can't afford the meal there. So, we ditched them. We went over to Trevi 5 instead.
The waitress was so nice. We started out with a chocolate caramel martini. Yum. Delicious , and the stirrer stick had a Carmel kiss stuck on it. How cute. We went real fru Fru for our appetizer, because we're food snobs and wanted an adventure. We got figs with ricotta. It was warm and perfect.
Then came out entree. My husband ordered Chicken Picatta. That's always a safe alternative. It was $27. A smaller portion than most restaurant .
I ordered the scallops saltambucco. For $38. The scallops were seare on only one side. I think that's by design though because another Hershey restaurant showed a picture of their scallops and you can see that it's only seered on the top.
There were only 3 scallops on my plate for $38. For $38, there should have been a party in my mouth, you know, the food equivalent of the big O. But, alas, there was no party, there wasn't even a radio playing in my mouth. Although the scallops were perfectly cooked, they were severly lacking in seasoning. There was supposed to be a brown butter sage sauce on my plate, and I simply didn't see it. Perhaps the pureed potatoes soaked it up. Ther was a fried something on top of the potatoes. That something was cut a little too big to give my mouth a fun texture to make my mouth happy as designed. Instead it was so hard that it gave my mouth anxiety about cracking a tooth. The fried thing on top wasn't needed.
As for my husband's Chicken Picatta, his had a little too much flavor, lemon, to be exact.
We finished our meal, and we were both still hungry. We got Terra Missue...
Read moreThe food wasn't worth the price. I ordered a pizza that was a little soggy when I got it and not very large for $17. I've had better Italian pizza for a lot less. I do have to say the calamari was a 4 star, very delicious.
Our service wasn't good. We ordered a bottle of champagne, which the menu said "Moet & Chandon Rose Imperial Champagne /22". When you read this, just like the rest of their drink menu is laid out, you assume you can only get a bottle for $22. When I ordered I asked for "one bottle of the champagne. The waitress brought out two small bottles, which poured to one glass each. I was confused by this, so before we ordered again, I confirmed with the waitress that the two mini bottles were equal to one large bottle that I ordered, which was $22. She said "yes, we just split it." So we decided to order another 1 bottle, again brought out two little ones. When we received our check we were charged 4 x $22 each thus equaling $88 for 4 glasses of champagne. Tried to talk to the manager about it and she was no help. Said she was sorry but all she could do was take off 1, because it is a split bottle, thus $22 for each little bottle which only equals one glass.. So because of their mistake, after we asked and clarified with the waitress before we ordered again, we were charged the obnoxious amount. You can buy a full bottle of this champagne...
Read moreMy family, group of four decided to dine here. We were staying at the hotel. Only two of us ate. The food did take a while for it come out. Considering there was limited seating and it wasn’t packed it still took a while for the food to come out. Before I begin the staff was very friendly. My review is based on the food. The dish my mother wanted was sold out, understandable that happens. My order was done incorrectly and it was getting very late the restaurant closed in 20 minutes from when we finally received our food. They did offer to remake it but I didn’t want to keep them there longer as it had already taken a while for the food to come out. I didn’t want to make the staff have to wait for a reorder and for me to eat my food. My sister had order two dishes. One to which she said had no flavor and the other which was a soup didn’t mention that the soup was thick and creamy. Soup is usually liquidy unless otherwise states which it was not. My fathers dish was the same...
