DLT (Duck Bacon , Lettuce , and Tomatoe), Fig and Brie Flatbread, and Poutine. Alcoholic beverages were a Mocha Candy Cane Martini and a beer called Bad Habits.
DLT was a 9 out of 10 easily. I've never tried Duck Bacon before this night and now I'm hooked. The sandwich was light yet satisfying , the fries were a perfect texture , nice and crunchy , not too greasy. The bacon was meaty , savory , and the strips were very thick and large, packed with that savory duck flavor. The vegetables were fresh.
The Poutine was a 9 out of 10 and was such a treat. I've never had fingerling potatoes in my poutine, it's always been fries...DELICOUSE. The texture of the gravy was on point as was the flavor. I myself don't like big chunks of cheese curds but understand the flavor the curds bring to this dish is key. This dish had that flavor without the big chunks. I'm a big fan of this style of poutine. The group I was with also loved it, everyone was licking their fingers π€.
The Brie and Fig Flatbread was amazing and a 9 out of 10 ! It was a really good high quality thin crust pizza with a decadent fig spread and a nice savory touch of Brie chunks. I believe it also has some bacon bits. Perfect balance of sweet and savory and my taste buds were having a party. Delicious !
Alcoholic beverages were 9 out of 10. The martini was one of the best martinis I have ever had. Two of us ordered it and we wanted more , however , it must be a popular drink because we had the last of the mix. Nice candy cane flavor , smooth and minty and the color of a light chocolate milk. One of the owners , who was also actively engaging with customers at thier tables , was nice enough to poor the bottom of the mix in a glass for me so I could have a little more. He was charismatic, accommodating , and all around a GREAT guy to chat with. The bad habits beverage was delicious ! We ordered it from their cask area of the restaurant where they sell their own high quality brewed beverages. The cask room is beautiful with wooden casks everywhere , a lounge , a dog bed that belongs to the goodest boy /greater. If you prefer , you can sit at the bar and have a chance to be served or greeted by the other owner who is very nice, down to earth, easily approachable and seemingly a joy to converse with. She knows her beverages β€οΈ.
The chef came to our table and greeted us. This was one of my favorite experiences. It was a pleasure to meet the man behind the flavor and to be able to show our love for his craft as well as express our gratitude. What a nice young gentleman who is definitely talented.
The prices are a little high end but the quality of food , the atmosphere and everything that goes with it is worth every single penny. Amazing establishment , I will be back and look forward to diving into some of the other beverages they have in thier cask room.
Note : Menu is a QR code that you scan when you sit at your table. They have some regular menu items and then they have things like Catch of the Day , Soup of...
Β Β Β Read moreHORRIBLE, ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! My friend made reservations for 630 and asked if they could get us out in time for the show at the Tupelo and they told her yes on the phone. When we arrived we asked again to the guy that sat us and he said no problem. The waitress took 15 mins to get to us to even ask us for drinks. She came back with the drinks and took our order. Now the prices are astronomical, but apparently when you put gravy on chicken and call it a "demi-glaze" that makes it worth almost 21 bucks! Is is the only chicken in the restaurant??? I asked about the "meat special" and the waitress didnt even know what it was and had to go ask... Not encouraging. We waited 1 hour for our food and were told that it was coming, we left dropping a $20 to cover the glass of wine. Made it to the show just in time and got food there. Then these people after almost making us late had the audacity to call us to tell us they saved our food in the refrigerator! If I was not interested in waiting an hour for overpriced food why would I want to come back and pay for overpriced food that was sitting in the refrigerator most of the night??? If they were not honestly able to get us in and out for a show like they claimed they should have just said so and we would have left to try them at a later time, but they kept telling us they could get us in and out in time. I will never go here again. They lie and are WAYYYYYY overpriced! Fancy wording doesnt mean you can jack up the price! I wish there was a Star...
