First time here, we have ordered take out and it was pretty good! We get there and the wait was 25-30 mins that’s fine they were busy. We got seated and about 5 mins after our waitress comes over and we asked for two waters and one Diet Coke. She comes with our drinks then asks if we know what we want. My fiancé tells her that we would like the Asian tenders with blue cheese. Our app comes out and we ate the tenders. Then I see our waitress walk by to clean off tables with the hostess. I catch her and ask for an extra blue cheese so we can finish our tenders. Then she comes back to our table about 10 mins later and we finally put our food order in. Still no Blue cheese so we can finish our appetizer. So I remind her and she said oh yeah. Then when she came back I asked her to change my fries to Mac n cheese. Then about 20 mins later our food comes out. I tried the Mac n cheese… just plain gross, I tried to find her to switch it back to fries. Nothing no waitress, then I realize I have no plate for my pizza. Again waiting my husband is basically done his burger and he told me just to eat it off the tray. So I finally pull a slice and she walks by I said excuse me can I have a plate and she said oh yeah and finally she notices I need a refill, just of my Diet Coke. Not my water. So she bring everything by and ran to another table. I didn’t even bother with the Mac n cheese at this point due to I was over it and we needed to go back home to our sitter. So when came and asked if we need a box I told her the Mac n cheese was gross and zero acknowledgment. Cool… maybe an how come could have been nice. Yet she still brought me a box for it. I told her I couldn’t eat the Mac n cheese it actually was gross and had zero flavor. She said oh haha sorry. Yet we paid and ran out cuz we needed to get home. I don’t think we will be back. I heard nothing but good reviews about here. But never again. The service is just plain awful… and zero acknowledgement for your customers.
I actually need to drink water constantly- due to a health issue and I got a soda for a treat. But it’s just sad when your server doesn’t refill your drinks when they are sitting there empty. I waitressed for years and managed many places. Not how customers should be treated. Going over to your tables a few time even walking by would help. When you’re looking for your waitress and she is nowhere to be found for a while that’s a problem. Also my fiancé said the burger was meh it needed flavor and the pizza was under cooked. Glad I get to recook it at home for a few.
Best food here is the Asian tenders and the homemade blue...
Read moreWriting this while I'm up sick in the middle of the night.
I went with a group of friends to Friendly Red's Tavern. There were a total of six of us in my group. I ordered a calzone for dinner and cosmo to drink. The drink arrived quickly. I took a couple sips just to taste the drink, but I waited to have any more of it until food started to arrive at the table because I had a very empty stomach and did not want the drink to overwhelm me before the food arrived.
When it was time to eat the waitress brought out a couple little metal stands for the two of us who ordered calzones, then the food for four of my friends, then the calzone for my other friend, and then the waitress indicated she'd be right back with my calzone.
At this point, I took a couple of nice long sips of my drink since five of the six meals had arrived, and the waitress indicated she'd be right back with my food. I confess to having a low alcohol tolerance, but she let me know she'd be right back with my food, so I had no reason to think I was making a big mistake by taking those sips of my drink. I trusted the waitress that my food would be right out.
I sat there waiting while that alcohol went straight to my head for forty-five awkward minutes before the waitress finally appeared with my food. By that time, all my friends were done eating, and I was very drunk. I only consumed less than a third of the cosmo before my food finally showed up, but I had not eaten in about ten hours and that little bit of the drink was enough to wreck me while it had 45 minutes to soak in before the food.
The waitress stayed out of sight for the entire awkward time my food was late. I couldn't even get a glass of water while I waited. None of my friends got any drink refills the entire evening. We asked for separate checks, and the waitress decided to hand my check to someone else at my table and walk away quickly. She didn't offer any explanation. She did not comp my food or my drink. She billed me the full $30.37, and now it is the middle of the night, and I am up sick.
For anyone wondering, my friend drove me home after dinner. There's no way I could have driven safely...
Read moreThis is the message I sent to Friendly Red's Tavern.........Today we chose to try you out for breakfast since our first two afternoon attempts you were far too busy. We were very impressed with the renovations. However breakfast was not as impressive. This is not a complaint. Rather, I am sharing this to help you improve your operations. We were a party of three and began with coffee. It was not hot coffee and I requested milk but it never came. No one came to ask if we wanted more coffee until we were finished with our meal. The amount of time to get our meals seemed much too long and it really wasn’t very busy at all. When the meals arrived I had to ask for silverware. Two of the three meals had English muffins that were not buttered!!!! We had to ask for butter and when it arrived it as far more than necessary. The potatoes were not hot at all. My omelet was overcooked and thus all dried out. By the way, we were given one spoon with the coffee. So we all had to share one spoon….no one ever asked us how our breakfast was!!!! Your new restaurant is quite nice however the operation of your restaurant leaves much to be desired. You made a major investment yet your restaurant operations have an awful lot of needs for improvement. On a positive note we did feel that your prices were very reasonable. This is the response I received one month ago today from the General Manager......Thank you Harold for taking the time to let me know how your visit went. I will share your email with our staff and strive to fix all these issues.
I am going to send you an Ecard in the hopes you'll give us another opportunity to serve you.
Thank you again and please accept my apologies. Although I was looking for nothing in return.....I find it quite telling that one month later I have received nothing in the form of an Ecard. Dont say your going to send it unless you intend to Mr. General Manager.....Incredibly...
