I’ve been to most of the big-name breweries: Hill Farmstead, Alchemist, WeldWerks, Casey, Cantillon, Mikkeller, 3 Fonteinen, OEC, Trillium, etc., etc.
I’m a well-versed craft beer guy. I’m not casually leaving positive reviews on any place that brews beer and serves pizza.
So when I moved back to New Hampshire, I didn’t expect much from 603 Brewery. I figured it was just another average brewery serving bar food. I was wrong.
No, their RateBeer and Beer Advocate scores won’t blow you away. You won’t stand in line for the next release. Whatever. But if you truly know craft beer and value top-notch brewery experiences, 603 will surprise you and exceed your expectations. The lagers and IIPAs aren’t Alchemist or Trillium level, but they’re well-balanced, smooth, with no hard-to-ignore burn, and made with quality water. You’ll take a sip and think, “…this is actually really good!”
But that’s not why I’m leaving this review.
I’m writing it because the food and staff is phenomenal and completely underrated in the region.
This is the only pizza I’ll eat and not feel like trash the next day. The pretzels are fantastic (and I usually hate beer cheese — it’s excellent at 603). Even the fried stuff, like the chicken sandwich, isn’t greasy or “deep fryer sludge” tasting. Everything tastes fresh, which almost never happens at breweries.
I’ve asked the staff about it, and they’ve told me repeatedly: everything is made from scratch with real, quality ingredients. Again, how often do you actually see that at a brewery?
As for the staff? They’re phenomenal. I sure hope they’re reminded of that by ownership, because it’s the truth. They truly treat everyone that walks in the door with a kind demeanor and an upbeat attitude.
If you’ve been to enough breweries around the world, you eventually stop chasing the next 10/10 DIPA, porter, or lambic. You just want a consistently great experience: solid beer, quality food, great staff, chill vibes. That’s 603.
Favorite food: Giant Soft Pretzel, Pan Seared Lemon Chicken Bowl, Caprese Sandwich, Crispy Chicken Sandwich, Buffalo Soldier Pizza.
Favorite beers: Honey Lager, Scenic IPA, Sunset Cliffs, Beer Hall Lager, Summatime...
Read moreSo many good things to say about 603 Brewery! My husband and I planned a wedding ceremony and reception on two different days and we chose to have our wedding reception at the brewery. We were absolutely pleased and blown away by the turnout and how everything was set up. We invited about 125 guests and we were able to use the indoor space and outdoor space. If you’re looking for a cool, unique and industrial vibe - this is THE place for you! All of our guests were amazed by the set up and were just so impressed by everything. I have to give major thanks to Morgan the event coordinator and her team because they did such an excellent job with setting everything up, running the event and breaking down. I felt like I didn’t even have to lift a finger! I planned this in about 2 1/2 months and Morgan was in constant contact with me and made planning so much easier for me. She had all the best ideas and suggestions. All of our guests were extremely happy and complimented us on how all the staff was so attentive and kind. They all got to go home with 603 pint glasses as party favors too! I can’t thank Morgan and her staff enough for hosting such a perfect reception for us - they made sure everything was to our liking and went above and beyond with absolutely everything. Morgan is seriously a jack of all trades - she helped me plan the event, made a time-line for it and stuck to it, MC’d the event, worked the event & poured beers, checked in on me constantly and she even photographed the event while overseeing the entire thing! I’m still in awe of how hard they all worked and how perfectly everything turned out. Whether you’re looking to host a birthday, bridal shower, bachelor party or a wedding reception like us - I totally recommend it! You won’t be disappointed. We were able to have that cool unique industrial vibe with the stainless steel fermenters as well as a romantic and chic look with all of our decorations and string lights...it just worked so well together! Thank you 603 Brewery for helping us create a magical memory to last a lifetime! We’ll be back for more...
Read moreToday, after a Half-Marathon in Manchester, I thought going to lunch at 603 Brewery would be great on so many levels!!! My family had come to see my sister & I run and The 603 Brewery being right off the highway for everyone to head home was a excellent spot to grab lunch - WELL - DISAPPOINTED BEYOND WORD'S!!!!!!!! We arrived & were guided to a table where the girl explained the idea, Hmmmm... The ordering concept was a bit odd!!! Your table number is listed on the napkin holder & then you proceed to a counter place MUST present your credit card before ordering & then they bring your food to the table!!!!!!! It was freezing 🥶 cold outside & I wanted to order coffee's for the table, "NO COFFEE"!!!!!! Then I asked, "Do you have any seltzer water or soda water (one in the same)" the answers came back as an "NO"!!!!!!! So disappointed ☹️😞 I get it, I get it, it's a Brewery but to serve food I was shocked that there was neither, Coffee or some sort of bubbly water!!! I will give them a 10 out of 10 on the burger!!! It was absolutely delicious!!! Just rethink the coffee & even bottled seltzer water!!! For those 2 reasons I won't be back but best to you...
