Best Thai food in the area. The dishes are planned and made with love. The attention to detail is amazing. The sauces are out of the world. Tom yum fish tacos were so good, esp if you add the dash of lime. Every component added to the explosion of flavors in your mouth in a perfect balance. SO's spider basil burger had an amazing sauce that sort of tasted like it had a bit of brie or some soft cheese. I only had a bite but the sauce was unreal. It also has a deep fried soft shell crab as its protein, and it was soft on the inside and easy-to-bite crispy on the outside. The flavor is great, and it's not so spiceful so thay my spice-averse SO greatly enjoyed it and said he'd order it again next time. My kao soi pu nim was noodle curry with the same deep friend soft shell crab. It's for curry lovers because the spices are full-bodied like it's saying "why eat curry if not in its pure state?" It's strong, like Thai Cottage Bistros' other curry dishes, and there seemed to be some different spices mixed into the noodles so when you stirred it, it had a pleasant colorful visual that was very satisfying. I took some to go to savor it more slowly. No regrets because few places serve dishes without holding back on spices and I love feeling the full impact - just in moderation. Mango sticky rice and pandan craffle were a super way to wrap things up. Simple dishes but done perfectly - I much prefer the mango sticky rice personally, though both are tasty. Great ambience, lunch rush hour gets a bit busy on weekdays.

Came here for lunch and the food was really fantastic. Place is clean and open, seating is comfortable, there's a parking garage next to the store front. Not a whole lot of negatives regarding this place. Wings - Crispy, a tiny amount of spice (I'm terrible with spicy food) and were cooked well. Flavor was great and I would definitely order this again. Khao Soi - This is the best khao soi I've had in the area. Better than Kiin Imm, Bangkok Garden, Sisters Thai, so on. It's rich, creamy, has good depth, the lime lightens it all up. Really superb. I can't believe I'm saying this but the chicken portion is too much. They give you two drumsticks and they're a good size but I would happily pay the same price and go with one less chicken leg and still feel more than satisfied. Braised Beef Noodle Soup - This was probably the best thing we had this trip. We got it with the thin rice noodle. The broth was incredibly good (not spicy), was rich and had tons of flavor, beef was plentiful (large portion for the size of the dish) and tender, had a hint of lime as well. Really, really good. I love Thai food and usually try any Thai restaurant I can and I can say that this is easily now my favorite.

We ordered the Tom Yum Noodle Soup, Khao Soi Gai and the Summer Rolls, which is not on the regular menu but was on special. I would say the best dish was the Khao Soi which was very flavorful and the portion of chicken was very large, with two drumsticks. This dish was the most expensive but to me was still by far the most worth it. The Tom Yum Soup was okay, a little too sour for my taste but my wife liked it more than I did. We tried the rice noodles for this dish and I preferred the egg noodles that were in the Khao Soi. Finally, the Summer Rolls were very good but I think a bit overpriced at $8.99. They were comparable to other summer rolls I've had, which I usually see in the $6-7 range. Overall, I think the food was very good and the prices were reasonable for the most part. Would recommend trying if you live or work nearby. The only other thing I will mention is they served the food in plastic containers and gave disposable chopsticks. I believe they just opened, but hopefully they will eventually invest in nicer bowls and utensils.

Great lil pristine Thai spot handled by Book. EVERYTHING is super fresh, creative, innovative and yet traditional. I must reveal my identity as I am the infamous Billy Thai [TM] aka William Pendzuk [Having eaten at over 160 Thais in the DMV] I know my Thai food and have been to Bangkok and Chiangmai for holiday. I am addicted to the Boat Noodle Soup which is Hugggge!!!! I typically get the To Go container which leads to 4,5 servings. 5 Spices Complex Soup is TCB's description and get-up. I always get the Beef with traditional flat noodles, 3 large meatballs, Chinese broccoli, celery, scallion, cilantro, chives and bean sprouts. I usually get a separate container of yummy red sriracha sauce and sprinkle in the goodness. Let's get back to Book! I have never and you will either ever see one person able to work the dining room and carryout as this man does. Book easily and smoothly handles much of the burgeoning and popular TCB crowd with ease and a distinct smile and kindness. Rumor has it I moved a block away just to spoil myself and fully enjoy the ambiance and essence more frequently at this incredible masterful business run by genius Pat and his lovely wife Jane which has expanded to 6 locations over the past 20+ years going by the popular moniker of Thai Tanium beginning in Kentlands Gaithersburg. I fully love and endorse this place and spread the word of love and enjoyment. You too will be in and out and back and in and back! Sawatdee and yes!...
