Paleteria La Michoacana — Restaurant in Des Moines

I love La Michocana so I was disappointed on my recent visit. My food was amazing as always but service lacked customer service. I asked for a piece of lime to add to my topo Chico. They didn’t have lime flavored which is understandable so I asked for some lime. Staff told me they could sell me for $.50 . I bought whole lime for $.45 at Walmart. I understand for inventory purposes cost however. I bought a full meal ( I was told lime doesn’t go on carne asada fries), drink and I just wanted a quarter of lime . Staff still refused to give me a piece. My mom gave me her piece from her tacos. $.50 is not but it how it was handle and deliver of the message. Next time I will bring my own lime but wanted to share, bring your lime otherwise...

If can I rate this ice cream shop 0 stars , I definitely would. I went in on a lovely sunny day , happy to get a creamy scoop of ice cream , but to my surprise I was greeted by a rude lady that was no help in explaining anything when I asked her about the different flavors, she seemed to be annoyed by my curiosity , as well as when I asked for a sample she got mad, and almost threw the spoon full of ice cream at me across the counter. To top it off, the lemon popsicle my boyfriend bought ,went straight to the garbage because it was absolutely gross, and an uncomfortable level of sour. The staff spoke limited English when we came in but they understood my Spanish well enough. I love these places! They have a vast selection of "paletas" which are Mexican popsicles. My favorite is the strawberries and cream paleta--"fresa con crema". They also offer milkshakes or serve their ice cream by the scoop.
