Voodoo Lounge Des Moines — Restaurant in Des Moines

I used to really love this place and would go every time I was downtown. It had such a good vibe, and a big part of that was thanks to Toby — he was always awesome, but I haven’t seen him around lately, so I’m guessing he doesn’t work there anymore. He also made the best drinks ever, pineapple upside down cake!

Since the management changed, things have gone downhill. The new management and the bouncer are just plain rude. It’s disappointing because I genuinely liked coming here, but now it feels uncomfortable — and that’s not how you want to feel at a place you used to enjoy. I know I’m just one customer and it doesn’t matter to them, but it’s still frustrating.

That said, Anna is the best!! She makes the best drinks and is always super friendly.

Brooke the new manager is rude like very rude gives judgmental looks at you while your dancing with friends. Also the drinks have gone way down hill since the new management like does anyone not know how to make a jolly rancher drink it's not that hard and then raising the prices and or changing the fact once u pay to get in you have to pay to get in again if you leave just for a cigarette which is mind blowing to me and then just noticed that the good crew that made the place fun is no longer there which makes the place not...
