My wife ate here several times and really enjoyed the food, which is good because she has a sensitive stomach. I ordered pupusas and she had the soup. About three spoons in to the soup she asks "what is that" it was a small spider. We stopped eating and let the waitress know. My wife's stomach was upset and she felt like she had to vomit so we were ready to go at that point. We go to leave and I step up to pay the bill which came to $31 and some change. I handed her the credit card and asked her if that included the soup and she said yes. I told her that we shouldn't have to pay for the soup as it had a spider in it. She said that they could only give me the soup half off because the spider could have come from anywhere. I agreed but it could have come from anywhere "inside their restaurant" as I didn't bring it in with me. They wouldn't budge so I paid the half price of the soup and left. I understand these things happen and it's not their fault, but when they do happen take responsibility and try to make things right with...
Read moreAMAZING Honduran restaurant. It’s the only restaurant that serves Honduran food around Detroit. Inside was decorated with Honduran decorations and crafts. Went there to grab some lunch, it wasn’t crowded. Ordered a horchata (drink made out of rice) to start, then ordered a carne asada típica. Had a little wait for the food, however it was amazing and tasty. It reminded me back to real Honduran food. The carne asada típica came with meats with chismol (salsa), refried beans, cheese, and fried plantain and later the server brought me the Honduran pickle made out of onion, cabbage, jalapeño and carrots. Prices here are so cheap compare to other Hispanic restaurant I’ve been to. I was able to ordered some pupusas and pastelitos to bring back home. They were amazing and tasty even thou it was in my car for 6hours. Overall, amazing restaurant for food at a great price! Definitely will stop by once I’m...
Read more4 stars for food 3 stars for atmosphere + service
Good: Variety of options. Prices are decent. Lunch specials. Good size portions
Bad: Building has housed many places, aNd doesn't have a great atmosphere. Some menu items are not available. Service can be a bit slow as they run the taKe out and dining room.
Try the pastelitos. Try some breakfast items. The platano campesino was delicious! A soft sweet plantain filled with ground beef, beans, crema. Yuca frita and Chicharron were amazing! Yuca can be tough, but it was crispy and sift in the inside. Balleadas ate huge tortilla like dough filled with items. Pupusa are good. Try the chicken.
Winner? The picked onions, beet, carrots mixture in a jar they brought to the table.
Just try this place with...
