This place has great food!! One of my older class mates in grad school told me about Chef Greg's Soul in the Wall, said she used to come frequently about 20 years ago when she lived in the area. My wife and I gave it try and now I can honestly say this place is a diamond in the rough. They have great fish, cornbread and AMAZING cabbage!!! On my last visit I finally tried the Boogoolo fires... they SLAPPED!!! I ordered them with ground beef for my wife, and chicken for myself. My pops said he used to order these fries back in the day while at Mumford High School & they even slapped then!!. We'll definitely be back.

This is a takeaway hole in the wall that makes food that is truly carby home cooking at it's best, fried pork chops, fries topped with beef/BBQ/cheese, catfish, okra. The breading is seasoned. A few of the fried items were not as good as the others but on the whole if you need a serious injection of soul food, Chef Greg's is hard to beat.

I ordered 2 lg spaghetti's, when I tell you that spaghetti was so bland, I was disappointed, coming on now, how you don't know how to make spaghetti, like no sauce, just meat and noodles, and when ppl order sides, make sure you fill that dish up with food, it's a no for me.

Today was my first time having Chef Gregs food and i must say....EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! The mac and cheese was like mine, banging, the mixed veggies were full flavored, and boogaloo sandwich was seasoned well (not my fav but cooked to perfection.) The taliapia was slamming and seasoned to perfection, french fries were crispy meaty and great....and last but not least the peach cobbler....SUPERB! Not too sweet, just enough cinnamon and spice and plenty of buttery crust! This place is a gem and a must visit! Chef Greg is super nice from what i heard (someone else picked it up for me) and the place is clean and quaint. I'm ready to try my fav next the short ribs. Go...

First off please remove Chef from your name bcuz clearly your not a chef. Second, take that dry dark STOVE TOP STUFFING you called dressing OFF THE MENU!! That's false advertising. Third everything was garbage!! Fourth I never had shredded cabbage before and that hot water cornbread suppose to be made with hot water not stale yellow corn meal ughhh!! Your food was so disgusting I want to stand in front of your restaurant every single day just to warn people not to eat there. How dare you try and sell that slop to anyone.
