I’ve been coming to Fresh Fish House for over 10 years. I’ve patronized pretty much all of their locations across Metro Detroit. This particular location was the 8 mile location in Detroit, Michigan. The food has always been pleasing. Hot, fresh and seasoned well. However, it seems as if the owners of this establishment are choosing to not invest in the aesthetics and maintenance of the location. This location is in desperate need of an update/remodel. Additionally, the air conditioning is currently not working. Logically for some sort of comfort in the summer heat, employees are leaving the main door open causing flies and whatever else to freely enter into the building. It feels as if the owners of this establishment do not particularly care about how this establishment looks on the inside based on the area it’s in. It is in desperate need of a remodel and thorough deep cleaning. Customer service was good per usual. The wait was anticipated based on the food being made fresh. I’m requesting that this location be updated in support and respect for the locals patronizing this establishment. Unfortunately, the "Fresh Fish" establishment has failed once again to provide fresh fish. The was the 2nd and final time I purchased their fish. I normally go to Alaska Fish and Chicken 9 mile in Oak Park, MI. They had no white bass available so I made a mistake and went to Fresh Fish. I should of had patience and bought fish from Alaska Fish and Chicken the next day. So, that's the price you pay for not having patience!

I bought the White Bass Fish on 12/30/2018 and cooked some of the fish on 12/31/2018. It was absolutely HORRIBLE! Fresh fish is a soft meat even after being cooked. This fish was like biting into a steak. Steak is thick,chewy meat. And if not cooked properly it (steak) will be a little tough to chew. That's how the white bass texture was! Not to mention there has not been a seasoning created that could mask the lack of fresh fish meat taste. There is no way they did not know that White Bass fish was not good to sale.

Here again it is not about people and good quality and service but the LOVE of MONEY which is the root of all evil.

Call my order in at 5:04 got there at 5:40 I was told my order would be ready in 20 min before arriving. I arrive my order want even made had to wait another 20 minutes I was told. Get to the window my order wasn't ready claiming they cook everything separate smh basically this place needs to hire another cook and an order taker. I thought My catfish would be whole instead it was catfish nuggets I only ordered two catfish dinners eight-piece shrimp 16-piece wing. Wings were okay shrimp was good except they don't take the tail off. what got to me was when I saw the guy that was cooking behind the counter all the sudden coming out of the building taking out trash or throwing away boxes and then I saw him in the building behind the counter cooking and sweeping at the same time me myself when I'm at home cooking I am not cleaning up clean as you go such as wiping off the counter that's about it stay away from soap stay away from trash stay away from boxes when cooking other...
