I used to like this place when they first started. Decent food, prices and service. But realized that once they started getting more people, the service and the quality changed. Several times I have to asked twice to get salsa and they did not seems to be happy about that. Today after many months without being there I place a takeout order and I made sure to put the note to add red and green salsas. The order came with no salsas at all and barely some meat in the tacos and instead of carnitas and steak tacos looks like onions & cilantro tacos too disappointing. I know that today is taco Tuesday and they have a deal of 3 tacos per 6 bucks, but honestly I will rather pay the full price but to have a decent taco with meat. The food was okay not that flavorful, small and pricey. The salsa tasted more like vinegar than anything. When we first arrived we called out to the waitress behind the cafe counter. She had her back to us but could clearly hear us since she was scrolling on TikTok. After several minutes we were about to give up when another waitress from the back asked if we were dining in for lunch. Apparently the place is separated into a cafe by morning and restaurant by the afternoon. Although we were by the cafe the waitress could’ve at least acknowledged us and let us know the cafe is closed but someone will be out to serve us for the restaurant rather she ignored us as we persistently tried to get her attention. 06/04/25 Ordered out of state for my significant other who is a Detroit resident. I feel scammed because I ordered 1 Shrimp - La Fonda St Burrito and 1 Bottled Coke. The total came out to be 29.33 (delivery fee and tip included). My significant other was given a can of coke. The prices for the food is reasonable however for the drinks they are way over priced! Also looking online at the drinks I’m thinking I was ordering a 2 litter that was priced $4.25 (the photo is unclear online as to what bottle is being purchased for a coke 🚩) not a can or a 20 ounce.
