Manhattan Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in Detroit

On Tuesday, October 26, 2021 I picked up over $350.00 worth of chicken wings and catfish for my 70th birthday party. I checked my order to the best of my ability while in the store. I took it to my party and when we put it out we saw that the rest of the chicken was terrible. It was hard, so little, basically not edible. I tried to call the store to register a complaint but they never answered the phone. I was very upset, embarrassed and my guest were disappointed as well. I continued to try to reach the store by phone but again no luck. I went into the store on Thursday and spoke to the man who identified himself as the owner and tried to reason with him about the food. I asked for some sort of compensation (small) . He said I should have brought the food back- REALLY! I hope he reconsiders and has a change of heart/decency. After years of doing business with this store, I will never buy any food from them again or any other Manhattan Chicken and fish as they probably all treat customers the same. My family have been coming here for years. The Saturday before Christmas I ordered 2 wing dinners and later when arriving in Ohio realized the fries were missing from both. My Mom called, spoke to a guy and gave him my name. While visiting that area today I stopped in to pick up the fries. The black lady on the register was the WORST! She complained that I waited to long to pick up the fries. I even turned my back and started talking to someone else and she was still fussing about something I “paid” for and did not receive. Came visiting from ARIZONA! Tried this place 2 days before my family reunion. So we decided to cater the food, 50 catfish nuggets, 15 leg/thighs, 😭 50 chicken wing dings😭 and 50 shrimp😭 full pan of spaghetti, family size Mac n cheese. REDFLAG😡 This freakin place over cooked chicken wing, shrimp, chicken HARD AS WOOD. Please check your food before you buy. My family was so disappointed with the food. I spoke with the cashier there about the food..all he could say is I waited to long to pick up the food. Total BS! Horrible place to eat at, disappointed, very disappointed.
