China House — Restaurant in Detroit

The lady that takes your order is so cold and rude. The food had no flavor at all. I ordered the sesame chicken with fried rice. And my rice had no taste and it was greasy and wet. The sauce that they used on the sesame chicken was too sweet and the meat was tough. I should've went home and made this dish myself. Because mine would've atleast had flavor.

I like how they gave out a fortune cookie for nostalgia purposes. But for the price that I paid, they should've offered a free egg roll or atleast some spring rolls. Because most other restaurants do.

Also the containers that they use to serve you, your food in, is made out of unhealthy plastic and the food burns your skin, through the container and bag. They are worst containers to ever to put scolding hot food inside of, and they seem like a lawsuit liability waiting to happen. This place doesn't care about their customers at all.

I don't know why this restaurant is still in business. If your not from around that area and if you have access to go to other Chinese restaurants....

I am giving this restaurant a one star not because of the food but because of the customer service that I received on 3.4.2022. I placed an uber eats order and based on the online menu that the restaurant and uber eats the combination dinner meals comes with an egg roll and fried rice and they also have you purchase and extra order of rice when it already comes with a portion of rice. When the meal arrived, there was NO egg rolls included with neither meal. The lady was rude and said that the meals no longer came with egg rolls and that she was too busy to talk with me regarding this issue. So, she would rather lose a customer than correct the problem right now and get with Uber Eats regarding the issue at hand. The food is awesome but the customer service was not worth it. I hope they get it together as there are plenty of restaurants out here to choose from. But customer service is what keeps a customer either coming back or finding another place to go. I choose to find another place to enjoy my meal from and spend...

I ordered using uber eats. They offered me a “spend $30 for $8 off your order” deal. But, after the driver left with my food they adjusted my price taking back the $8… that’s really the only reason i’m not leaving 5 stars. The food was sooooo good! I got a combination plate with s&s chicken, and steak & gravy. I wanted a combination plate with just s&s chicken, but I couldn’t find that option in the app. Nonetheless, the food was 🔥🔥🔥 the rice was beautiful. The eggs rolls were the very best I have had in a while. The steak wasn’t dry and chewy. Green pepper & onion was perfectly cooked. The s&s sauce is good but it has a faint taste of ketchup or something, which wasn’t terrible but different & gave me mixed feelings.

Overall, the food was SO good. The best chinese I’ve had in a while! Can’t wait to eat my leftovers...
