I used to love this place, however after today, I will no longer frequent this establishment due to the poor customer service received. I called to place an order over the phone, at 12:02pm, the young lady who took my order even asked me if I wanted my usual, she told me it would be 20 minutes. I arrived to pick up my order at 12:22pm and it was extremely crowded with people waiting for their orders. When I walked up to counter and gave my name the young lady told me that I must have called the wrong store because they didn’t have any orders with the name Yvette, so I placed the order with her then and proceeded to wait another 20 minutes. Buy then, my 30 minute lunch hour was over and I was pissed so I asked to speak to the manager. Then some other disrespectful staff person said that they don’t have a manager and I needed to call online for HR. At that point I requested a refund and another young lady came up and I explained what happened. She said I took your order but apparently she didn’t put it through, meanwhile the disrespectful staff continued to run her mouth about I can wait or get a refund. Number 1. I am the customer and it’s not my fault that my order was not placed properly, that was an internal failure. Number 2: When your establishment is at fault for not placing my order correctly, shut your mouth and how about this: TRY APOLOGIZING!!!! After being insistent on a refund, someone in charge asked, “what if I can get your order out now,” which he did but it should not have come to that. I was very disappointed by the customer service received and that’s one thing I will not tolerate. The counter help must understand that if not for the customer, they would be out of business, and it’s my recommendation that their counter staff receives customer service training, which they are in desperate need of !!! They also need a plan in place to address the lunch rush as today was an...
Read moreAfter trying to eat elsewhere (no dine-in option, no staff present, no restroom available) I spotted Middle Eats on the way out. Let's give it a shot. It was only 11:30 am so I wasn't too hungry. Ordered a Spicy Crunchy Chicken Shawarma. Same as a regular with pita chips & spicy sauce added. Yummy. Great flavor, good crunch & a solid amount of heat. Properly filled my belly for under $10 with tax included. While they made it I got the key to the restroom (see, not hard to control that & still be usable) to wash my hands, et al. Music was just a touch louder than my preference but in the open space with concrete floors it sounded quite good. The volume probably helps the kitchen staff hear it. Efficient, friendly staff quickly & concisely explained the differences between the various options. A good spot. I'd definitely return.
And I did return a week later. Good...
Read moreHidden gem #1 #rockcity #eats&sweets located on Harper n Gratiot inside the grocery store parking lot. First time here. A friend brought me in and I was shocked. Truly a hidden gem. I didn't even know this place existed. We walked in, the first thing I noticed was the dessert set up (sooooo many desserts my eyes couldn't focus on just 1) the menu board (which was huge n had pics 🤗) and the smoothie station (all the fresh fruit had my eyes crossing) after I snapped back to reality I heard a greeting "hey come on in". I shook my head n walked up to the counter. I love the menu because it was digital and had pictures, which is a plus for me, I'm a visual eater. The food was amazing the portions are huge and even though she was busy the customer service was on point. I will definitely be back and another review will follow. Check em...
