Papa's Pizza — Restaurant in Detroit

I live in the City and it is so incredibly difficult to find a restaurant who delivers! Super frustrating! But low and behold, we found a Domino's who delivered in our area, so pizza it was on those nights where I didn't want to cook. Well, their customer service was always unprofessional (management & front line associates), but the pizza wasn't horrible. One day, I ran across a Papa's Pizza ad and saw that they offered delivery and weren't located to far. Would they deliver to my area? I called....they did...and countless pizzas later, I LOVE PAPA'S PIZZA!!! These folks call to confirm that an online order was received on their end and remind you to have a photo I.D. on hand (eho does that??). They also call once they get outside to let me know they're in front of my home......and I receive this call much sooner than estimated every time! And don't get me started on the crust on their square deep-dish pizza (doesn't matter which kind)....OMG!! Needless to say, my delivery woes are over and whenever that weeknight comes around that I'm not in the mood to cook, it's Papa's who...

Ordered 2 pizzas with "the works" for $29 only to get home and find they both were over cooked aka burned. Took the large one back hoping to get a proper replacement only to hear that there was nothing wrong with it, "all of our deep dish pizzas look like this".. Was offered a small as a replacement.. Since it wasn't for me, even though I paid, I accepted as my relatives would hopefully at least get to eat one slice of acceptable pizza. I wish I could post a pic of the pizza they claim was fine.. But what I think I will do is go to the Papa's Pizza in my area, order a large deep dish and then take it to this location so they can see that their version is in fact not how a deep dish is supposed to be.. Overall I'll never spend another dime at this location due to the way my complaint and lack of satisfaction was handled. Okay so the management of this place is SO HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISRESPECTFUL. I ordered a special previously and my boyfriend got the food when it was delivered i wasn’t home . Got home to realize we had been missing a pizza called to ask about it and he implied i was “lying” and “didn’t make sense” had to go up there the next day to SHOW HIM the footage from my front camera and only getting ONE PIZZA . However , after that me and my family ordered again tonight . We called and asked for 2 WHOLE RIB DINNERS , meaning WHOLE SLAB RIGHT? Well wrong , they gave us rib tips which we NEVER BUY BECAUSE ANYMORE FROM THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE ALWAYS SO TOUGH .
