I went in to pick up 2 cakes and 2 cakes slices. There were 2 young men working the counter. I came to find out their names were Matt and Benny. Matt was the one working the register and Benny was labeling bread. I was approaching the register when Matt stepped away, leaving Benny up front. I waited for what felt like 10 minutes, with Matt being no where in sight and Benny just labeling bread. Here is what I find to be a pet preeve of mine. If you are in customer service, your main objective is to serve the customer. Not labeling bread and clearly seeing someone standing at the register and continue to label bread as if it's not his responsibility to handle customers. Even if it isn't, the customer doesn't know that, so it's a bad look. By the time Matt returned to the register I forgot the name of the cake I saw in the display and he took my order wrong because we almost walked away with 1 cake slice instead of the 2 I asked for. These are easy fixes that this establishment can work on, wether it be better customer service training or hiring people who actually want to work. Now mind you this encounter happened 3 weeks ago, but the reason why I'm posting publicly now is because I did post on Paris Baguette's website first only to come and find out that the intended reader never saw the post. So a lot of good that does to have the manager on the responses recommend going on their website to post a complaint only for it to get lost in the abyss of their dead email pile. Their sandwiches are always good and so are the cakes, but that is not enough to keep customers coming back, it's also the feeling that the establishment appreciates their customers. Do...
Read moreFood / pastries are great (most of the time), but customer service is ZERO. It raised my cortisol levels Turned a great and happy morning, into stress and confrontational for no reason
Today I wanted to bless a client with pastries. So I spent in total $136.
Since they boxed up all the pastries without asking me, I asked for bags to make it look nicer. They said no bags for the boxed pastries. I asked for a few smaller bags. She gave me 2.
Then I realized I needed 1 more bag for the napkins (that I had to pull out one by one from the dispenser b/c she did not want to give me a stack of napkins).
The cashier (female) said I was already given too many bags I should have received zero bc my items were boxed. She refused to give me 1 more small paper bag. Unbelievable.
The owner / manager ignored me for awhile. Then I beseeched her in Korean "How can I go to a client's office like this - fist full of napkins??" She finally gave in and gave me a SMALL wax coated bags for the napkins.
I will start spending my money elsewhere at other Paris Baguette locations or go to 85c.
They seem to be penny-wise and dollar foolish.
Very disappointing behavior.
I also orderd a large peach iced tea, easy ice, she gave it to me with 1.5 inches less drink. I asked her to fill it to the top. She was annoyed but complied.
Customer service is the name of the game. They need some...
Read moreI found two of my three pastries unwrapped after I opened the box and discovered them. They placed majority of their pastries that can be easily accessible in their dine in area in cases. I have no problem with that, except I noticed some of their pastries were not entirely wrapped! They did not even prepared my three pastries, until I arrived. The Hispanic lady at the front counter Cashier went to filled my orders in the dine in area. Everything has to be sanitary at all times, regardless of the pandemic! All it takes is one sneeze and there goes the gross germs inedible part! And also I placed two ham and cheese croissant sandwiches well in advance via online at 11:08 am and I was told that my orders would be ready at 11:45 am. I was actually late 15 minutes. It was a down time for the store a little after 12 pm. They did not even informed me via phone call that they ran out of the croissant sandwiches or at least give me some available options to choose from, so that I didn’t have to waste my time going there on my way to work!!! They still have not issued me refund for the sandwiches at the time of...
